Its my favourite Wii game and my best game so far this gen. Personally I enjoy exploring every single dark corner of a game, so boring it aint not...csliney
As you can tell ima huge metroid fan, this is one of the best games i've ever played. Retro has done a fantastic job with Metroid Prime 3, it the best one of the prime series and easily one of my favourite games of all time.
Honestly, it's one of the best games I have ever played in my life. Easily on the top list.
I pity the ones who cannot enjoy it.

its a good game but doesn't do the series justice...it is disappointing, when compared to Prime 1 and 2.chex81

Prime 1 was amazing because it was new and truely imagined the series in 3D
Prime 2 was steps ahead because it provided a challenge and much more difficult puzzles, more exploring required
Prime 3 was good because the controls were perfected...but everything else just went off track
thats my opinion
Prime 1 and 2 are equal masterpieces and hold the crown as best last-generation games....Prime 3 was just to help sell Wii's....Retro could have produced a much better game.
The only part I found boring was the begining when your talking to all the people on the ship.
The rest of Metroid Prime 3 is totally immersive and awesome...
... the only people who would say this game is boring is someone who has no patience.
I loved it the only kinda dull part was sky town, probably because it takes so long to travel from place to place. Everything else was great though.
At times, I found MP3 to be boring and just put it down for a couple of months before trying again (as is my current state with it). At other times, I loved it and really thought it paralleled some 2007 GotY contenders in greatness. I do have a question about it though, while I'm already here:
SPOILERS
I already explored Valhalla and got the ship's missile expansion, and I finally found the entrance to go to the area to get to where Dark Samus and co. are hiding, but before I go in, I get a message telling me to explore Valhalla. Am I missing something from there or is my game broken? No online walkthrough is offering any help on this matter so anything would be greatly appreciated.

yes in the final room of the valhalla there should be a panel or something. One panel gives you a code to get you into the leviathan ship thing, and another is aurora 313 blogging for the last time while the pirates take over the ship and steal her. If you see both of these then you can continue on through the game.
Spoilers again
ALso the pannel needs a passcode. There should bea GF solider holding a PDA look on the PDA and you get the code.

Really? I thought that since I'm a huge Metroid fan, I would like MP3 a bit less than MP1. Or maybe even a lot less. I haven't played more than a few hours at my friend's house, and though it felt awesome, I kind of got the impression that they focused more on action this time, rather than exploring. Not cool, in my opinion. Feels like they did that just to make the Metroid series more popular and easy to get in to.
I have no doubt that I'll love MP3 when I get it, but right now it feels like they tried to make it more like Halo (for example) to make it sell more, which is wrong, since MP1 was a freaking masterpiece. The reason I think MP1 was such an awesome game is that it's not an FPS. It's an adventure game filled with puzzles and exploring. Now it feels like Retro is trying to dumb down the exploring and squeeze in more action. I can't help but feel a bit dissapointed by this.
I know I'll love it when I get it, since it's Metroid after all, but I don't think it stands a chance to MP1.

yeah it is that way sorta, they did focus a lot more on action, though you still explore quite a bit (finding all power ups), but the game holds your hand the whole way and you'll never not know where to go, or pretty much what to do.

I also see that as a pretty bad thing. MP1 was perfect. Why change something that isn't broken? I loved to try to figure out where to go next. It never got frustrating for me either, cause when I had wondered around for some time not knowing exactly where to go, the question mark popped up on the map telling me where I could advance. I actually got a little annoyed at the question mark a few times, since I thought it popped up too soon.
yeah MP1 was perfect its the best game ever imo. You know in the first two primes you hada room and there were like 4 doors leading off in different directions and you were just suppose to explore? well Mp3 probably has 3 doors in main room of the planet, and every room after that is just a straight path for the most part. The question marks symbolthat popped up from time to time in Metroid Prime pop up everytime the AU contacts you and wants you to find something. Also the maps are pretty much given to you as soon as you get to the planet.
Also spreading the game around to different planets was pretty cool, but it also simplified exploring. In metroid prime you had to find a specific elevator lift to bring you to a certain region then find another elevator lift to bring you to another region. It took way more exploration figuring out which elvator leads you where and such. MP3 doesnt really have the kinda depth.

Thanks for that. i just picked the game up again and then got frustrated by not having enough energy cells. I had 7/9 and need the other 2. I took the game out and went back to Zack and Wiki. MP3 is one hell of a frustration.
I'm bored with it. I want to finish it but something is keeping me from going any further more after I just beaten my 6th boss fight.nelfer320
don't worry, it's not just you...i feel that pain....it wasdifficult to force myself to care enough to finish the game.
I just recently bought metriod prime 3 corruption for the wii, and must say i am disapointed with it. It could be because of the other games i just got for the wii, *RE4, mario, Zelda*. This game just seems very slow for me, boring and not interesting. Whats your call on it?AndrewStar101
I bought it, but I was also dissapointed with it. I'm going to sell it. I don't know what it is about it, maybe it's just not my kind of game, but I didn't enjoy it very much.
It's one of the best games out there.BioShockOwnz
pssh yea right, total dissapointment horrible boring repetitive game

To fully and truely unstand the story you probably should have played the first two (even though they dont give you much and you have to scan to find out what the hells going on).
I'm about 75% finished with this game now. I never played any of the Primes before (my last Metroid game was Super Metroid).Let mesay that Super Metroid is my favorite game of all time next to Symphony of the Night.
Corruption is good, but I can understand the folks who say it's slow. It actually IS kinda slow in the beginning. I actually put it down about three times in between the time I started playing and now. This is coming from a guy who played through Super Metroid about 40 times, mind you. Corruption just doesn't have the power to suck you in like some other games do, which rather surprised me.
I will say that the further I get in the game, the more hooked I get. At 75% I'm actually having a hard time putting it down now. I think for me, the FPS perspective is what throws me off. First person is pretty popular today, but I didn't like it when Wolfenstein came out and Istill don't like it now. I guess I'm too old school for games these days, hehe. Hooray for VC! :P
