Metroid Other M delayed to unknown date?!?!

We are hearing that a delay is in the works for both Metroid: Other M, as well as Sin and Punishment 2. Keep in mind, this is just rumor for now.

Just got an official email from work about two of Nintendo's biggest profile games of the year, Metroid: Other M and Sin & Punishment 2 being delayed. Metroid: Other M has changed from being released on 6/27 to TBD. Sin and Punishment 2 has changed from being released on 6/6 to 6/27. - Anonymous source

I'm hoping that this is just rumor or some sort of mean prank. Seeing Metroid: Other M delayed to TBA is pretty damn bad, but seeing S&P2 delayed makes no sense at all. Thanks to KingBroly for the heads up.

If Nintendo was not able to have it done by june, they wouldn't have told us. They would have just kept it as TBA

I hope not. But I have to say I kind of predicted a delay for Other M.

It might be released for Holiday, if Nintendo couldn't get Zelda to release in 2010.

well that would suck, im really looking forward to it and SMG2. but on the other hand, if they delay it and make it 10 times better then no problem with me. anyone remember super smash bros brawl, they delayed the release date multiple times, but they made the game alot better with the extra time.

Maybe Zelda can't be made for holiday?

Well given its legendary status as "the game that will never come out", I think that's true regardless of how good it is as a video game.

If memory serves, TP was worse. Although Brawl was very bad.

It had always seemed odd to me that Nintendo would release two massive titles one after the other, so the delay makes sense even if I don't like it.

If true, at least I can save money and buy other games that are coming out in Q2 and then when I have the money, buy Other M.

You know, I don't know why but I have a gut feeling that this is ture. It's not based on anything. Just a tingling spider-sense that makes me feel this will come true. If it turns out to be then I'm sure we can only assume at least it's to further make it perfect. If it's not then hey, we get in two months!

yea same here, there are at least 4 games coming out around that time and if metroid got delayed it wouldn't bother me too much. Dont get me wrong Id love to have it come out sooner but with all the other good stuff i still have yet to get, a small break in between releases isnt too big of a deal for me since it would work out better.

I hope this isn't true. I was absolutely extatic that two massively high profile games were coming out during my summer vacation. All I would have to worry about is showing up to work. I'd have a lot more free time to enjoy these titles.

Kinda sucks if Sin and Punishment 2 does get delay, but I can wait for a couple more weeks.

Well, it will kinda suck if Other M is delayed, but at the same time, that gives them an opportunity to better the game :)

I'm going to call this a rumor for now, seeing how this is from an anonymous source. But even if Nintendo delayed it, they won't delay it to the holidays, because there is no way Metroid could compete with Halo, Natal, and the Move in the holidays. So if there is a delay, I think it would be delayed to August or July. Zelda or some Wii (insert gimmicky name here) is going to be the big holiday title from Nintendo.

Maybe they might do what they did with MP3 and just delay it a week.

I'm expecting an October-November Release like most other Metroids. Nintendo should also Remake Metroid 2: Return of Samus. That Game was awesome!!! But not as good as Super Metroid.

Now they are saying August 31st.... :(
