Metroid Other M is selling for the cheap price of $7.99 at Best Buy. Whoever has not bought it yet should definitely get it now.
EDIT: Aww, it was only a one day sale...

Other M's been a weird one with pricing - it's been hitting $10 or less well under a year after it came out. I remember I got my copy about eight months after it launched, for ten bucks, and I've seen it hit $5 quite often. Either they printed too many, the poor word of mouth really has caught up to it, or a combination of those two.Wow, and Nintendo is known for keeping their games expensive this gen. :0

Looks like it was only a one day sale. :( It's back to its original price now.
At least Gamestop is still selling it cheap.
Mods, feel free to lock this thread. It's useless now.
Yeah, I always wait a while for the price to go down. I don't think I've ever bought a game at launch.Pisses me off I paid $50 for it
Had to have it right then and there, immediately, at launch. Just couldn't waitLesson learned. Learn mistakes early in life.

When it was first shown off, it looked like it was going to be one of the best games of all time. The hype the game had and what it promised to be compared to what we got was a major let down. I personally enjoyed the game, but it's obvious it could have been so much better than what it was, and it definitely opened up a lot of doors for the series with some great potential. It's one of the most underated games of the series, I don't know why people complain about it.

It's good, but not what people expected, and it had a lot of flaws and annoying sections that could have been fixed or improved. The game unquestionably could have been much better than what it was.The game was good. What are people expecting, Star Wars?

Where's Waldo sections that pointlessly slow the game down and you often have no idea what you're supposed to be looking at, switching to 1st person mode would sometimes not register, many people did not like Samus' character, very short, no exploration at all until after the game, incredibly linear... The game has plenty of flaws, I don't see what the problem is in accepting that the game isn't what it could have been.Name a couple of things.

I believe it consistently sells for about $10 used at gamestop. I got mine for $20 last summer, which I felt was worth it. Not the best Metroid game (especially the story), but it's worth $10.

Oooh yeah, that was the stupidest idea ever. I actually got stuck on one of those. >.>
I've seen this game used at Gamestop for 10 bucks but didn't get it. I'm not a big fan of Metroid Prime, to be honest, so would this game be worth it for me?rubber-chicken
This game is nothing like Metroid Prime. And there isn't a lot of backtracking either, the game is pretty linear. If those were the things you didn't like about Prime, they're not here. This game has a really great control scheme. Its environments are uninspired compared to the Prime trilogy and the cutscenes are pretty ham-fisted, but overall I think it's one of the best games on the Wii. I would give it a go, especially since it's so cheap now.
Despite its flaws I hope they make an Other M sequel. Though this time they should remove the story altogether and make it have Super Metroid type progression (non-linear but still isn't too hard to figure out like it was in the Prime games).

I agree, i still enjoyed it and im glad nintendo finally tried something risky and different instead of playing it safe (and frankly i was sick of the prime games at that point anyway). Hopefully they can learn from the mistakes and improve upon the formula in the future.
Decent game, but the only thing it shares with other Metroids is the protagonist. No sense of exploration, barely any significant back-tracking and it feels like you brought a party with you. Way too easy as well, in my opinion.
Enjoyable - but less than I'd expect from a series that has only scored gold since its NES debut.
