Depends on your reason for getting it. For those that are getting the game because they love metroid or they just want an epic wii game then no... for those that just want any random FPS then yes.
The Prime series has never been about multipler. The people who wanted online probably only played Hunters, which had okay online until hackers took over. But Hunters had terrible single player compared to the console games. Retro wanted to focus on the single player experience since this is the last of the Prime series. And this looks to be a great game with major story elements involed.
Metroid is a game where it won't take away from the game if its on there, it'll still be an awesome game, Multiplayer (if like in Hunters) is a great addition. It will take nothing away from the game.
It might hurt the replayability of the game (I personally don't play Metriod games over again) but it's still going to be a phenomenal game, and there's no reason not to buy it cause there's not online.
Not at all. I'm not that interested in online gameplay except for in games that are really competitive like Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like online in the game, I just don't think it's neccessary for this game. The single-player game will be enough for me.
metroid would make for a REALLY crappy online multiplayer, and adding one on just seems pointless to every extent of the word. for the DS it was alright seeing as there aren't many good FPS games for portable consoles. for an actual console, it's just completely unnecessary.
hunters sucked. that was likeQuake 1with Stylus controls and a metroid skin.
Prime 3 is my most anticipated Title of the year, and i was never expecting online multiplayer, im expecting fantastic controls, immersive, beautiful graphics, a good end to the "Storyline" that was started in Prime, and i want to blast the hell out of Ridley!

Ive never played an online game nor do i really care too much. Every so often ill watch a friend play online at his house but if i want to play with someone ill ask them to come over.
