Metroid Prime 3 - system update?

I just got MP3..and i'm reading the intruction booklet. Apparently, u need to have the latest system update in order to play the game.

"When first loading the game disc into the wii console. The console will check to see if you have the latest system update menu. If you do not, a wii system update screen will appear. Press OK to proceed. PLease note that the wii console must have the latest system update in order to play the game disc." Pg. 3

So, does it mean that for ppl who don't have their wiionline cann't play MP3??

All Nintendo games come with the latest update for your system.

THis way people without the ability to have online can have the most up do to date conole.
