MP Trilogy has Wii controls for all 3 games, slight graphical updates for 1 and 2 such as bloom lighting, an achievement system, 16:9 widescreen support

This post might make me get Metroid Prime Trilogy even though I have all 3 games already but these updates might make it seem new.

Well, Brawl has a lot of data on one disc, it's actually dual-layered. The game works alright except for having some trouble online, so I assume the Prime Trilogy will work alright.

I cant wait to get them. They are some of the best games of this and last gen, and Wii controls will make other even better. Only thing they should have done was make echoes have online. Even if just 8 people, that would have been the next best thing other then makin new prime game.

I might have to get this, despite owning all three games separately. It might even convince me to play the entire way through Prime 2....which seemed like a chore and I got bored with it quickly.

Well, Brawl has a lot of data on one disc, it's actually dual-layered. The game works alright except for having some trouble online, so I assume the Prime Trilogy will work alright.

Gamecube discs hold up to 1.5GB, and the Wii disc holds 4.7GB. Dual-layered, it holds 8.54GB. Prime 3 wasn't dual-layered either.

Although not announced whether the Prime Trilogy will be dual-layered, I'm sure it'll fit, since I doubt all 3 games used the highest amount of possible storage.

America and Europe is getting a much better deal than Japan, since Prime 1 and 2 were released as separate games with the new play control.

No. The first 2 are NPC Metroid Prime games released in Japan seperately.

they're also adding those "achievement" type tokens in 1 & 2...so that's more replayability

I wish we could have bought them seperatly. I only havn't played the first one, so I don't need 2 & 3.

No, but you can find Prime 1 and 2 easily for the GC. Even then, why would you want GC control when using the Wiimote is better?

I have to agree, the IR pointer just feels so good, responsive, and quick.

I also hated the Gamecube's deformed "C" stick that is incredibly resistant.
