I'm kinda new to the series and I've played Metroid Prime 1&2. I just learned that the Metroid "Prime" series was a trilogy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is the last game of the "trilogy"! Whats the future for the Metroid series after Prime 3 is out? Just curious to know.

Yeah, Metroid Prime is a trilogy, but Hunters is just a weird placement for the DS. It should be called Metroid Hunters. But still, it can act as a portable Prime.

Oh ok, didn't know that, is there kind of a main story in the 3 prime games? I only had the chans to play Metroid Prime 1 for like an hour at my brothers GameCube last christmas. Is it worth getting the Metroid Prime 1-2?

It's supposed to be a trilogy, but who knows what it really will be.  Calling it a trilogy implies that MP3 will end with the final end of Dark Samus.  Metroid is a popular franchise, so I doubt MP3 will be the last Metroid.  Maybe the Metroid Prime trilogy will turn out like the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy.

Metroid Prime: Hunters DS is in between Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

So this is the stuf that happened to Samus after Metroid Prime and before Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

This is what THEY said not me. I just didn't make it up. That the official statement.

Don;t believe me simple e-mail Nintendo and/or Retro Studios.

The best ending?

The ending I saw was she took her helmet/VISOR thing off and was standing untop her ship as it hovered. Then the narrator guys came in with his stuff. She then pops down into her ship(the rotating door opens and she slips down) and off the flys into space.

Now I know there were two ending because another game told me so. I got I think 79% for Metroid Prime(47:08mins) and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes 83% (99:59mins)

So what ending would 80% up get you?

The Metroid series is broken down into four 2D games, and the Metroid Prime trilogy designed to create an interquel story in between Metroid and Metroid II. Hunters is a spin-off of the first Metroid Prime, which takes place in between I&II. After Metroid Prime, a rumored new entry in the main series, Metroid Dread, is said to be a 2D game with 3D graphics for the DS.

I'm not too fussed with the stories, they're like zelda. They're very similar to other games in the series. Land on planet, make discoveries, kill everything and escape before it all blows up... It's just damn fun to play.

You have that right, for the most part, but Dread was rumoured to come after Fusion, which comes chronologically last in the story. Metroid/Zero Mission Prime Prime Hunters Prime 2 Prime 3 Metroid II Super Metroid Fusion Dread (if made)

Hunters is a tangeant of the main Prime plot, occurring theoretically after Echoes (MP2).  The reason being is that in the demo video in corruption, one of the Hunters appears to help you.  Samus did not know any Hunters until MP: Hunters DS.

So yes its a trilogy, hunters if anything is like an expansion?  I see how its weird..

thefirst one connects with the second because ** spoilers** at the end of metroid 1 Metroid prime takes over Samus's suit and with it's tech creates dark Samus wich means metroid prime is dark samus ** end spoilers**

PS- can anyone tell me how to hide the spoilers i cant figure it out

Good point, I never noticed that, Hunters has nothing to do with the Metroid Prime though, as it had niether the MP or Dark Samus in. Corruption will be the last in the Prime Series, and after that they could make a new series of Metroid games, or just another simple Metroid like they did before (Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion etc)

MPH is like a spinoff of a spinoff. The future of Metroid is probably to continue the story after Metroid Fusion on GBA, but I doubt they will go back to sidescrolling ever again. If anyone's interested, the timeline goes like this:
Metroid, Metroid Prime, Prime Hunters, Prime 2, Prime 3, Metroid 2, Metroid 3 (Super Metroid), Metroid 4 (Metroid Fusion).

What if.... they made a Metroid Prime RPG like Mass Effect? That would be massive. Anyways, isn't getting 100% in the first Metroid Prime pretty much impossible... well, no impossible. You would have to be patient as you searched every single part of the huge open world. ;)

Metroid Prime is a trilogy, Metroid Prime Hunters doesn't count in the Trilogy because it is a side story but it is still in the Metroid Series, but it isn't part of the Prime trilogy because 1. it was made by NST and I think Trilogies have to be made by the same Company.
