Metroid vs. Zelda vs. Smash Bros. vs. Pokemon

I know that it is ridiculousto ask, but other than Mario, which Nintendo franchise do you think has had the biggest impact on the company and the video game industry as a whole and why?

Personally, I'm not strong enough mentally to be able to answer this question so I'll leave it to all of you!!

Zelda, it's unquestionable

it perfected the art of 3d adventure, 3d fighting systems, weapon choice, 2d adventure, 2d fighting, and story
there are few games out there that can't say (honestly) that they have had no influence from zelda at all
it has for generations shown developers how to use systems, and controls

nintendo make more money andhas a bigger impact withpokemon by far.

why you ask well look at it this way

1. pokemon is 90% recycled material from the older version

2. many people by both versions of a pokemon game series eg they buy both Diamond & Pearl

3. many people buy an extra DS so they can trade pokemon between there two games

4. pokemon is more child friendly than SSB, Zelda and Metroid leading more parents to buy it for there kids

5. pokemon has alot more adverising around it (E.g Tv shows, movies, and when do nintendo have Huge events for SSB, Zelda and Metroid)

6. there is alot of things that nintendo can do with pokemon besides the main RPG's as we have seen over the years(e.g Mystery Dungeon, Pinball.....)

Im a big fan of mario but dont hav to much xp with smash bros.I think Metroid will hav the biggest futureimpact on gaming I mean it practically has its own sub-genre.I just hope M3 doesnt stray to far from the M. Prime formula that kept me plaing Echoe for hours on end.All the other choices are at least a decade old 'cept SMBros. Its Wii-ified formula for Brawl is probably innovative but won't have an impact on the whole gaming industry, just its wii successors.

First of all, Pokemon shouldnt be on this list...

There would have been no pokemon if nintendo wouldnt have been as successful as it was.

Mario and Zelda made Nintendo what it is, not Pokemon.

I think for the N64 generation, Zelda set and raised the standard for action adventure games

However, Metriod Prime combined Shooter and Adventure, making it arguably the most nostalgicand innovative game of this century.

And where is donkey kong country? that game what industry changing also...

Pokemon probably has.

Pokemon is the highest selling. Everyone just cant get enough of going to proffessor whatever, getting 1 of 3 starters, fighting there rival 4 times, beating team whatever, beating the elite four, and catching all 53,672 pokemon again, and again, and again... Its amazing how all the games are pretty much the same, and for some reason every kids gets ALL of them.

Zelda however, is the better franchise of the 4 IMO though..
