R & L : Camera left/right movement
touchscreen: Items/ camera zoom in & zoom out/ map and stuff
ABYX : attacks
circle pad : movement
Dpad : i guess items too

The controls don't have to be as bad as in the PSP, if the rumors about it requring the second analog are true they are just ripping us off.

I play Monster Hunter Tri with Wiimote+Nunchuck, and I'm a lot better than most of the people I know.

Yes it could be done that way and I wouldn't complain. This talk of the clunky, ugly looking add-on of the second analog is a disgrace. I'm pretty upset about this.

I don't know why people think otherwise :/ I put in over 300 hours in Monster Hunter Unite on PSP, so I thin I'll be fine. That's if it even leaves Japan >_>

I played with the Wiimote + Nunchuk and I did fine. I don't really see the need for a second analogue stick in the first place.

What is there to be upset about, its a peripheral, you don't want it, don't buy it. And on topic, being in all Monster Hunter has seen the bulk of its success on two platforms lacking a second analog stick, I think it goes without saying, that the game can be played without one.

Well, Monster Hunter for PSP isn't that bad really. It's easy to compensate the lack of a second thumbstick for camera control because you can easily use the thumb on the slide pad and the index on the d-pad simultaneously. Regardless of what the case is with other consoles, I pretty much agree with you. I will definitely not be buying that hideous peripheral, yet I don't believe the gaming experience will be hindered by the lack of it. I do hope they have full customization of the control scheme. Now that would be awesome. Does anyone know if the control scheme is customizable in past installments of Monster Hunter.

of course it could.. I mean there were three insanely successful Monster Hunter games on the PSP.. I really hope Nintendo doesn't pull this crap so early in the consoles life.
