Miyamoto says his best is yet to come, would love to see Star Fox on Wii, Wii HD

"In the past five years I've been working on such unusual titles like Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort. Ten years ago I could never have been able to imagine that I would be making games like that. That's why I can say that the best is yet to come to me." - Shigeru Miyamoto

This was just on blurb from a GamesTM interview with Miyamoto. You can see his other responses below.

(on Wii HD) "Technology is always evolving and Nintendo, just like other companies, is going to integrate those technologies into our new products as they develop. Whether that be a Wii HD, Wii 2 or an entirely new console, I am not in a position to say at the moment. I think that in the next generation of hardware, the challenge is how unique and different a product Nintendo is able to make."

(When GamesTM said they would like to see a new StarFox on Wii, Miyamoto said) "Me too."

There's so much potential with the Wii for a Starfox title. Here's to hoping.

I doubt we will see a new SF anytime soon, although I'd love it if there is one. I'm still crossing my fingers for WiiHD at E3, but that's unlikely too.

I remeber Miyamoto in the summer saying he thought Star Fox might be dead. hmm As for the best yet to come I think that is possible comepletly true he is not done yet

I like hearing this from Miyamoto as well. Although I worry he's reffering to more casual friendly games like Wii Sports and the like. Now THAT would be depressing. I'd like him to get back to making games for us gamers. Both sequels and ne IPs alike.

I did find his comment on the next console very reassuring. The fact that he says he's "not in a position to comment" really says to me that they are indeed working on a new console (thank god!). I can only hope it's a significantly more powerful Wii 2 or like he said a new console altogether.

And also a new Star Fox would be simply to die for! The Wii is screaming for this series! Come on Nintendo!

Really, I loved that game, but I didn't get the controls in my first go through. Like when you aim at just the right spot you can get them with a charged shot kinda thing, I loved the controls and that's what makes me want a star fox for wii even more.

If they make a starfox game i think it should have an option of playing the game(for on-foot missions) over-the-shoulder perspective or FPSHawkEye1997

a Star Fox hopefully will come out soon, hopefully an announcement at e3 and I would love to see that being retro's secret project. Retro has done wonder with Metroid Prime, and Star Fox seems fit for them.i loved assault, the graphics were great, splitscreen was fun, and i loved the different vehicles, add co-op, a longer story and a competitive online multiplayer and we got an incredible game possibly GOTY.FPS1337
