I want a good game.

(THIS IS NOT A 'WHICH GAME SHOULD I GET' THREAD TO BE CLEAR)

I seriously miss having amazing games. I want to find the next Ocarina of Time, I want to find a game that is as fun as Metroid Prime, I want to feel the same fear that I felt when I played REmake, dammit!

I am having a severe dryspell of good games, I havent even taken out a console in months! meh meh meh nummerkinsssszzzz

um, ok, um, lolly kins, lol zorz, lol.......anyone feel the same way as the above described description? of lack of enjoyment in the game department?

I sort of agree with the description.
I've had my Wii for about 2-3 months now and I have: SMG, Twilight Princess, SSBB and Mario Kart. So obviously I haven't bought all the good Wii games like MP3, Super Paper Mario etc. But still, I look at the games out atm and I'm not completely satisfied. I'm looking forward to the months to come because of Animal Crossing and TOS2 but I'm still not 100% satisfied.
Don't get me wrong, I like my Wii but IMO (yes, my opinion only) I don't think that it is enough to fully satisfy a gamer. So I'll probably buy a 360 and get a couple games to play when I'm not playing Wii.

Specifically on the Wii? Not a chance. I have so many other things to do in my life that I cant even find the time to play games that came out at the beginning of the year. I dont blast through them like some people seem to either. Im really happy with the content on the Wii.

I cant possibly believe that you have played every single good Wii game the console has to offer?

I like genres of all kinds..... love the metroids (first person shootventure), the zeldas, survival horror like REs, umm... ok thats actually probably it.

And for the Wii, there have been good games, dont get me wrong. I really liked Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3.

However..... they werent GREAT. They were just good. I want a great game, if that makes sense. I want that feeling like the first time I played Ocarina of Time.

Funny thing about that though... is that you dont realize you felt like that until years afterwards usually haha. Whoa, getting a lil deep here

You have become a tainted gamer :)

Sorry to say, but you will probably never get the same feeling Ocarina of Time gave you EVER again. Its just because we look back on those times with rose tinted glasses. They were defining moments in our childhood. They cant be replaced by similar experiences when we are older, and nothing will ever compare.

I did a bit of a Zelda marathon recently and, people are gonna hate me for saying it, but both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are better games. Ocarina was more groundbreaking, sure, but its been surpassed since. Sometimes we need to look at old games objectively to appreciate the new stuff.

I know exactly what you mean. I've played so really good games but nothing that you run home from work and rush to play it. I felt that way about LoZ TP, SSBB but nothing since. The new Star Wars game I'm having a lot of fun with but nothing to really excite you. I'm waiting for a game like RE etc. I'm with you on your feelings. Wii Music isn't gonna do it. Come on nintendo. I know you can do it.

I too felt that way about TP...amazing game. As far as topic creator goes... I think Galaxy might do it for you. It felt really groundbreaking to me, and I have the feeling that we all will look at it as a groundbreaking game when we look back at this gen.... in a few years.
