I doubt it, that is probably a place holder for a "just in case" sort of thing. Also the first one wasn't on the Wii so I doubt the second one will be either. This game is so strongly driven by multiplayer that unless they develop their own system for online play like EA did with Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 this won't fair well on the Wii.
is really enough to make an assumption that its coming to wii...
although i would thoroughly enjoy it
This. Plus, if they made it, I wouldn't get it. I'd get it for the 360, since almost every multi-platform game for the Wii and 360/PS3 turns out worse on the Wii anyway. This game just seems like it was designed around a much stronger console (which it was, obviously), and to make it on the Wii would take away from that.I dont want a port I want an all new original game made from the ground up for wii.
MadSavage22
I hope so. Unlike most people in this thread by the looks of things I actually enjoyed COD 5 on the wii (well the multiplayer anyways, the single player was pretty boring). I doubt it will happen though
[QUOTE="MadSavage22"]which we probably will not get if it comes to wii if we're thinking realistically either way, i'll be getting the 360 version.I dont want a port I want an all new original game made from the ground up for wii.

yeah I realized
Although it's a bad move on Activision's part, I no longer believe MW2 is comming out for the Wii (it would have been anounced with the other systems). No big deal. If it does, I'll buy it, but if not then I won't miss an ultra linear game that practically plays itself, and mediocre online that comes with it.
you guys are dumb it's coming out for the wii...and why would you be mad? you guys are obviously not hard core gamers and ur little bitty *insults*. look on gamebattles and they already have a ladder for it on the wii...WHAT NOW!
I dont understand why people wouldnt want it to come out on Wii, everybody dont have muti consles, like me, and for us it will be good. CODWW Wii could have been better, but it was still a good game for online, even with 2 main modes, I still play it online just like a whole lot of other people. After COD3 and WW selling over a mil, im sure they would put in more effort to make to Wii version online much better with more modes then before.
everyone says they don't want a port. but COD WAW was built ground up for Wii, not a PS2 or 30 port
they built a version of the COD4 engine, whcih MW2 is using, for the Wii
theres no reason why they should or would neglect a Wii version with stuff like Zombie mode or certain game modes , coz last year TRey proved it could be done on Wii but even cut corners themselves like no Zombie mode on Wii, slightly downgraded multiplayer
and everyone says "theres too many FPS !" yea, on consoles not called the Nintendo Wii.
Fact is, MW2 would prolly be a welcome addition to the sickeningly thin library of competitve online shooters on Wii.
The problem is the fact that they cut too many corners. Even without the extra MP modes and the Nazi zombies (and missing an entire plane level in the campaign mode, but I digress) the game still felt unpolished. I've ran into many glitches online and in single player. I've even had the AI shut down for an entire level in the game. If Modern Warfare 2 does come to Wii (which I still highly doubt), then the devs need to actually need to fix alot of things.everyone says they don't want a port. but COD WAW was built ground up for Wii, not a PS2 or 30 port

I own COD 5 and in my opinion Treyarch did a great job with the Wii version. The game has the best graphics alongside others on the Wii. I think some of you are just too picky or not playing the game with a component cable. I tried playing the game with the regular cables and I couldn't do it.darklydreaming2Yeah, I dont get that hate against COD5. Imo it's the best FPS on the Wii, superior to COD3, RedSteel and even ResidentEvil (if u consider it as a FPS). But i'm fine if the next Treyarch COD comes to the Wii, i'm not so pumped for MW2
[QUOTE="PlasmaBeam44"]the series began on the PC, so don't dare say it was meant to be played on 360.Don't care. I'll play it on 360 where it's meant to be played.

I wasn't aware that MW2 and COD1 were the same game...............
ill be honest until e3 i thought it was coming because a few private inside sources had confirmed it also, IW originally planned cod 4 for wii and made the cod4 engine on wii but ran out of time from their publishers however, after no e3 announcement, im skeptical nowAdmiralWolverin
Ok, I have never heard any of that before, but what the hey. I was 50/50 on a Wii version and really wanted one after playing MW1 on my sister's PS3. Now after seeing some shots of it and some of the other stuff, I am actually not really excited about it. I will go out and get The Conduit, and now there are so many cool games coming exclusivly to Wii that will tide me over that I won't miss MW2. I think it will still be a cool game, but it really didn't seem to have that pop that made me HAVE to have it. I am looking forward to The Conduit, Muramasa:Demon Blade, Red Steel 2, Spyborgs and New Super Mario Bros Wii. Not to mention my buddy lent me Twilight Princess and I have MP3 now too. So I probably won't have time until Christmas 2010 when the next Tryarch COD comes out with the Grinder and Metroid, Other M. I gotta say to the PS360 crowd that came to hate, just leave and go complain on your own forums. We are quite content here in Wiiland (god I feel dirty everytime i say Wii)
Was WAW that good on the Wii?? cause I player MOH:H and the online was alright but not as good as I was hoping for.
I still think it will for some reason... lol
I would welcome it with arms wide open. I hate going to my friends house, jumping in online and getting my ass handed to me because;
1) I'm not a nerd, and play CoD all day long ( I don't have the other systems, so I can't practice)
2) Even if I did, I hate using analog controllers now
3) his dog is annoying, hyper as hell, knocks over my beers, and constantly tries to nibble on my hands
If it was for Wii (and a decent game), I would be able to avoid all the above

I actually hope this will come over to the Wii, mainly since I found the Wii version of WaW pretty fun. Well, the multiplayer at least, the singleplayer was meh (even though I liked the inclusion of Keifer Sutherland as a voice actor for the game).
Truly, unlike a lot of people here, I don't really care if the game is downgraded somewhat. All that really matters to me is if the game is fun or not, and the multiplayer in the Wii port of WaW was fun enough for me to enjoy the game. So what a few modes were missing. So what there were no Nazi Zombies (especially since that part of the PS3/XB360/PC versions was incredibly overrated. I've played Half-Life mods and custom Sven Coop maps that were hundreds of times more fun). So what the graphics were less than spectacular. If it's fun, that should be all that matters.
Plus, considering Activision wants Modern Warfare 2 to be the highest selling game ever, not releasing it on the Wii would be a stupid move. It might not bring as much sales as the XB360 and PS3 versions, but it would provide an extra boost in sales.
