Who here believes that once the Wii version of Modern Warfare comes out, it will surpass the Conduit in every aspect except the Graphics and Controls.

What I mean is, it isn't going to be very pretty, it is going to control decent but not great, but overall, I think Modern Warfare might turn out better than the Conduit. Sure it is a port, but it is a port of a really good game, and since World at War decently worked, so should Modern Warfare.

The online multiplayer will most likely be better, a much larger selection of weapons, you pick the guns you want to use rather than voting for them.

I want to here what you guys think will happen on November 10, 2009.

Me, I will most likely be playing Modern Warfare 2 for PC, but if Modern Warfare Wii turns out great, I may trade in the Conduit for it.

well according to reviews, WaW is superior to Conduit.

I don't see MW would be any different. Same engine, same controls, same online, just different color palletes used and clothing. This should be a no brainer for Treyarch.....

we'll see though

That's the thing I could never quite understand. WaW is a buggy, broken, port with half of it's content missing. Yet people give it good reviews. I mean, The Conduit was at least somewhat decent. What am I missing here?

It seemed alright when I watched youtube footage, but then again... people only put what they want you to see, my right?

Yeah, it all depends on how they handle porting it. The game isn't that great on other consoles, anyways. Although, chances are, Treyarch's just going to make it worse.

Well by this logic.

Since the Conduit was a good game, Modern Warfare Wii will be a good game.

Not to be confused with GREAT game.

It is great on consoles, perfect on PC.

The controls will ultimately make or break the game for me. I don't mind having not such a good looking game, but I don't want to play a game that looks ugly.

If the game looks like it did in those screenshots, then I'd have to say no. Usually graphics shouldn't matter but having it look THAT bad is inexcusable. If the game looks almost as good as Conduit (or better) with good controls then it probably will be a better game overall.

Can't say that for sure until Modern Warfare Wii is actually released.

Are you one of those guys who hates the Conduit without ever playing it first just because Gamespot says it is to generic?

If you actually played it, what parts about it do you hate?

The controls was awesome, but that's pretty much it. The single-player was incredibly boring, the online wasn't fun and the graphics was pretty bad. The GameSpot review was pretty much spot on. I gave it a 6.0 instead of 6.5, though. The IGN review of the game also made me despise IGN.

The game just doesn't offer anything you can't get on 3 million other better FPSs. I'm not giving it thumbs up just because it's on the Wii. The game sucks. Period.

as owner of both, with over 200 hours on EACH, i can summarize why the metascore of WAW is higuer. Reliable netcode. No teleporting laggers.no kills by corpses(dead guys kill you 7 seconds after they die. Steadier framerate.TC rates vary between 15 and 30 fps.WAW stays mostly over 20 campaing has same content as other versions. WAW has better design and environments. Is watered down, but even as it,is noticeably superior than TC.Not that TC is unplayable. MW on the other hand will keep most features, unlike WAW. DEVS just stated the shots are not representative of the current game.Video should be whithin 2 weeks(from MW official forums).

I think MW's single player is going to stink, but the online multiplayer will be decent. It's going to be different than The Conduit. Not sure if it will be better or worse, just a different experience.

I'm sure it will be almost as good as COD-4 was 2 years ago. My biggest problem with this is why now??? This just shows us that they could have made this 2 years ago.....but they where too lazy to. Now that they are making it, everyone is going to buy it...making it ok for 3rd parties to continue this........I want original games, not ports......I'm sick of ports. Stop buying them so they will stop making them.

I think Modern Warfare will reign. I recently played The Conduit, and I have to say, the single player is substantially lacking. The visuals were good, but not great, and the multiplayer aspect of the game is broken. The framerate dips too much, and there are people disappearing everywhere. It also lacks a sprint button, but that is a personal preference. I also don't like the sway that Mr. Ford has while moving. I played for about 3 hours, but couldn't get used to it. I'll go back and play some more, but I wasn't a big fan of it. Modern Warfare however, has the benefit of an already fun campaign, especially with people shouting, bullets flying by your head, and helicopters zooming by. It feels like a natural situation when you think about a warzone. The only thing against Modern Warfare is that it's a port from an old game.

The reason I think that Modern Warfare is coming to Wii now is because World at War sold overa million units on Wii.

As a result, Activisions wants to make alot of money off of this. But if you think about it, Modern Warfare is a game that is so good that most games released recently don't really compare to it that much.

It's the same game as the AAA on other consoles, just less pretty and with less people online. Of course it'll be miles better, regardless of what year it came out.

If MW turns out to be anywhere near as fun as the XB360 and PS3 releases, it'll crush that mediocre "killer-app" called The Conduit.

In the end, I personally would rather have a gimped port that is extremely fun instead of a game built specifically for the Wii that is mediocre and boring. Thus, why I enjoyed Quantum of Solace, World at War, and even Far Cry Vengeance more than I enjoyed The Conduit.

WAW from 2k8 is better than TC,by simple logic, 2k9 MW will be Vastly superior(same porting team).I could be wrong, but I could bet on it.In fact Metascore of WAW was on the mid 8.0s, and i expect MW to end on the high 8's.

Never, under any conditions, can Far Cry Vengeance be more fun than the Conduit.

I have payed full price for the Conduit and feel that it was worth it. I still want my $20 that I wasted on that ****fest known as Far Cry Vengence.

I rented The Conduit and I felt that I had wasted my money. The environments were bland, the story was stereotypical and predictable, the gameplay was boring, the online was terribly glitchy, and the graphics were nowhere near the early-XBox360 level that HVS promised. Overall, The Conduit was a mediocre snore fest that wasn't even worth the $8 I spent to rent it.

Far Cry Vengeance, while shoddy in graphics, AI, and story, had much more interesting environments in my opinion and was overall much more entertaining than The Conduit ever was.

Vengeance have interesting environments? Ha! I almost wet myself in laughter!

Onslaught has more interesting environments than Vengeance, and that was WiiWare.
