Monkey Island is without a doubt, one of the greatest series of all time. Wouldn't it be awesome if MI1 and MK2 were remade with MI3 graphics and with voice acting AND with Wiimote like a mouse, so they were the first 3 MI games in one game?? That would be the game of my dreams.

That would be pretty sweet. I never had a chance to play MI1 or 2, but I loved 3.

Day of the Tentacle, early Monkey Island Games, Psychonauts, Maniac Mansion (NES), Grim Fandango... all perfect style Wii games with hilarious writing and fun gameplay, all from the same core guy, Tim Schafer. This guy was born to make fantastic Wii games.... but he's currently working on Brutal Legend (heavy metal roadie vs demonic vikings) for PS360. :(

I'd love to see Adventure games on the Wii. I'd be in love if the King's Quest series returned on the Wii.

I think adventure games are perfect for the Wii, especially since they usually aren't focused on frames per second. I'm not familiar with King's Quest, though. Makes me think of an RPG, but it seems like all RPGS have "Quest" in the title. Or "King", "Sword", or a number indicating a sequel of a game most people never knew about.

Exactly! Monkey Island and the other Tim Schafer games always stood up because great dialogue and funny gameplay. Put Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion, Grim Fandango, and the existing Monkey Island games on a disc, with minor cosmetic touchups and you have a huge winner to wet the appetites while you make a new Monkey Island game for the Wii. Although, Having DotT and MM as unlockable games might work as a better bonus so it doesn't look like you're just tossing the on there.

Actually, I think it'd be great if Lucas Arts re-released all of thier games in a single collection on the Wii.

I dunno if I'd pay $50 for just the Monkey Island Series... But if it included Full Throttle, Indiana Jones, Sam and Max, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tenticle and others, It'd be a quick buy!

Looks like you beat me to the idea.

I've never actually played a Sam and Max game from the beginning to the end; but being old mascots of the company, I think they'd make a good cover for the collection.

No. A fourth Monkey Island definitely does not exist. Never heard of it. Don't be silly.

I think Sam and Max would have to be a different set, since I think there's already several of them. But the 4 Monkey Island (with minor cosmetic touchups), Grim Fandango, and DotT/MM/Full Throttle as unlockables would be awesome. Probably could even release it for $30 since they're so old. If it did well, maybe Tim Schafer would consider revamping and rereleasing Psychonauts on the Wii, and maybe a sequel. :) Ahhh.... I can dream.

Yes, and it certainly wasn't fun. Not at all. And I wouldn't want that fun infecting my home console.

Tim Schafer is working on another game (Brutal Legend) right now, but I guess they could get some other team to remake the game, I don't think they would though. I'd rather have a new game, the wii is started to get overcrowded with all these ports and remakes.

I would love to have Brutal Legend too. :) Besides, he'll need something to work on when that's done. Although, that's not supposed to be until December, but that times out right for the Legends of Lucasarts Vol. 1 game. :) An original Tim Schafer game for Wii would be ideal, but I think Double Fine would be more confident in making a Wii exclusive game if an appetite for adventure games was evident on the Wii.

Yeah maybe after he's done with brutal legend Schafer will do a game for the wii, possibly an new adventure game. So far those point and click games are doing good on the wii. I think he's getting more into platformers and stuff though, because Psychonauts and Brutal legends are really adventure games. Although Psychonauts did have some elements (like the milkman conspiracy level and trading off items for others and all that good stuff).

Honestly I didn't find #4 quite as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, the controls stunk and the 3D graphics felt completely lifeless and uninspiring when compared to the previous title's hand-drawn ones, but it certainly wasn't unplayable.
