ITS P2P

I WAS SO EXCITED TO GET THIS AND KNOW I CAN'T!

anyway to play offline without a P2P contract. Anyone know if the P2P will be a one time thing. Or maybe different services? Maybe even 5 dollars a month?

Heres the link

THey say it at 2:43

since that's a import review, it's still unclear if Capcom will charge us here (that's why people were asking for links in your first thread) and if they impose the same payment method they used in Japan, it will be about $8 (30 days), $15 (60 days), $20 (90 days).

Great, more monthly fees. I have enough fees with WoW and Xbox Live.

Game still looks nice, though.

It also means your better off getting the Ps2 or PSP version.

This.

Until Capcom says it's P2P for territories, we really won't know.

Wait. You have to pay to play MH3 online? Is there even the opportunity to play offline? Or is it online only?

Yep, for me it doesn't seem to be a real MMO game since I don't believe they will update the game regularly. I mean wasn't the multiplayer in the previous MH games for free? Why do they now want money?

Why would the American version not have P2P?

How so its the same exact game? Anyway people saying get the PS2 and PSP version, well those are pay to play in Japan as well. However outside of Japan they don't have a fee, why would this be any different? And TC have you been living under a rock to not know until now that it has a fee in Japan lol, thats extremely old news. Monster Hunter 1 old.

Because Monster Hunter isn't popular in US so it might hurt their sales. Or people who finally decide to get into Monster Hunter won't be willing to get ripped off ($20 for 3 months? wtf kind of overpriced crap is that?) and then NOBODY will buy the game and hurt the sales even more. If they're really going to do pay to play for US, it should be $20 for a year since Xbox Live is $50 a year for EVERY game that has online play.

Not confirmed for the rest of the world yet. Capcom themselves said they were unsure. However, the two player split screens makes it a buy for me.

Lol, that was an import review. By P2P, he means for Japan. As of now, it's not clear if it will be P2P here in the States and Canada.

Japan does. I doubt we have to. The game is way more popular there. I will definitely pay for it if it's $5 a month. The online is sick if you've seen videos.

If the game is P2P, count me out unless the single player experience is just as good as the multiplayer (which it seems it's not, according to the review). I never pay to play a game I've already paid for.

The quests are timed too, which is a real pita. I want to fight monsters, not the clock.

I don't care if it ends up being P2P over here; I'll play multiplayer nonetheless. Even if they do make it P2P over here, I doubt it'll be much.

This is an outdated video, it was poted in May so details were more scarce. In a more recent interview with Capcom they have stated that they are still undecided on whether there will be Wii Speak support, or if the online is P2P.

Finally they have said that the online is free ot of japan, because this saga is really famouse in japan so if they put the online for free they maybe win more buyers, of thee game i mean. Or at least this is happening in Europe, because they have comfirmed that the online will be free in Europe ^o^

Because Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter 2 were both P2P in Japan but free to play in EU and America :) That and Capcom are hyping this as being the Monster Hunter game that is finally going to get success in America (it was already successful in EU, just not Japan level ;p) and I don't think they would risk messing that up with fees.

The ps2 MHs that got released over here WERE NOT p2p, so why would you think that MHTRI would be any different?

I seriously don't understand people like this. Mh as ONLY ever been p2p in Japan. Its going to sell like crap over here anyways; why would capcom bother to charge us? That'd obviously only scare customers away for no good reason (case in point, this thread)
