After riariases' thread got deleted I feel the need to resurrect this topic

Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, said in an interview

"The 3DS is releasing, too, so I think the right time to switch [Monster Hunter] to new hardware is coming as well."

Can it be that Monster Hunter 3D will be happening?

I wasn't too impressed with the first MH I played, which was Tri, so I wouldn't terribly excited.

Seems like a fun game, and I understand why people love it, but its not my thing.

I'd rather Capcom make an awesome new IP on 3DS

I'm not completely sure I'd like this. It seems there would be a lack of buttons, even if including the touch screen.

Yeah I brought MH on the PSP thinking it had multiplayer...yeah it didn't work out like that. So if they added true online I would buy it in a heartbeat.

What he said was pretty clear, 3DS will get a MH game, hopefully an original game not a port. Also hopefully they find a way around the "claw" controls PSP had... I guess they have to with the analogue on top of the Dpad, you won't even be able to control it like the PSP.

It was as big as Pokemon on the PSP I don't see it leaving the Sony brand so easily. Maybe it will be multiplat

There are more than enough buttons, especially since you could eliminate the need to use buttons for items and the map.

Not necessarily, with the 3DS hardware capabilities, if it proves half as popular as the DS and Nintendo has really taken care of the pirating issue(which is probably the most important thing) I could easily see it jumping ship.

What he said was pretty clear

I agree since he mentioned "switching platforms" and "3DS" in the same sentence. It's kind of a dead giveaway.
