This game should be good.

The hunt is about to begin, as Capcom’s Monster Hunter Generations will launch in Europe on 15th July, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS family systems. Fans eager for this latest instalment of the multi-million-selling action-RPG will have the perfect opportunity to immerse themselves in the adventure with the New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition, also launching on the same day.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition comes in a striking red colour and features artwork of the game’s Fated Four, an elite group of powerful monsters. In addition, this hardware also includes Monster Hunter Generations pre-installed on a 4GB microSD card. Players can get straight into the action as soon as possible, and enjoy the C Stick functionality only available on New Nintendo 3DS systems.

With the new Prowler game mode and revisions to help newcomers, Monster Hunter Generations is the most accessible entry in the series yet and the ideal jumping-on point for beginners. The new Prowler mode, where players can directly control one of the game’s Felyne characters, allows newcomers to get straight into the action of hunting and gathering without feeling overwhelmed. Prowlers enjoy simplified mechanics for gathering items and enjoy their own unique attacks and combos, making them a great learning tool for anyone starting out on their Monster Hunter journey. Any of the game’s single or multiplayer quests can be enjoyed in Prowler mode, allowing players of all skill levels, whether playing as a Hunter or Prowler, to hunt together. See more of Monster Hunter Generations and its new accessible features, including Prowler Mode, in action in the A Brand New Type of Hunter Trailer premiering today.

Monster Hunter Generations allows players to take on a variety of unique monsters in over 20 different hunting locations, either solo or in local and online multiplayer modes. By collecting items from their hunts, players can craft more powerful weapons and armour, allowing even more dangerous quests to be taken on. With the choice of four different Hunting Styles and spectacular Hunter Arts special moves to equip, Monster Hunter Generations is the most customisable Monster Hunter experience yet. Players will also be able to get a taste of Monster Hunter Generations before launch, when a playable demo is released on Nintendo eShop this summer.

I got into MH4U a few months ago. Great game, really enjoyed it, but much like Etrian Odyssey, I don't think I can make a commitment to another huge game like it.

Has Monster Hunter Generations been out in Japan since the last year???? Only under the name Monster Hunter X. Or are these two absolutely different?

Monster Hunter Generations is the localised name for Monster Hunter X. They are the same game.
