I'm not sure about silver items. I guess that they are like Gold tools, easier to find but not worth much.
There are only 4 houses, so you have to stick with the one you got.
I believe biding works in the way where you can bid stuff between the people in your town. As for guides, I don't know if they are finished yet.
what can you do with silver items/what's so special about them? can you buy more than one house(as the same character)? how does the auction/bidding work?(maybe im just pricing my items too high or is it mainly for multiplayer....and i dont see anything to bid on) and one last thing...can anyone give me a link to a guide/walkthrough for this version of the game all the guides/FAQs i've found are just the guides for the ds version with a wii title on it im pretty sure there are some differences in the game (character appearences, events, hairstyle lists and combinations(im lookin for this one specifically), etc..)punkrocker616I don't know about the silver items but there are only 4 houses so pick one that you want to live in.
Silver items are just slightly better, and example would be the silver axe can cut trees and it never falls apart, but the golden axe cuts trees faster, it can chop trees in about 2 chops while the silver takes 4 I guess. Silver shovel lets you get more bells from rocks, and this is unkown but I think you can dig bells with the silver. The silver slingshot shoots 2 balls and the golden shoots 3. The silver net is bigger than the orignial but small than the golden. Silver fishing rod can cast further, but the gold's bobber can go even farther. the rest is unkown.
You can buy any house you want, but you are only limited to buy one house per character you make or transfer. If you want to take all 4 houses you must make 4 people, but if you have friends I reommend you save a house for them so they can play or incase they wanna move to your town from their wii so they can start a file on 2 games.
To auction or bid you must have a friend code with someone you know and they must have yours. Everytime you put up an auction that furniture or object will appear on your friends auction shop. They will bid on the furniture or buy it for the total cost, and that money will immediatley go to your bank. If you want to buy your friend must put up a piece of furniture up on the stand so you may buy it.
I do not recommend going through time to earn money to buy stuff or pay your debt or to find those silver or golden tools, for they will make the game end faster. I did that in my DS version and I got every single furniture and paid my house and got every tool in just 5 days, and after that the only thing I could do in the game was talk to my neighbors and stuff. If you want to have fun and make the game last longer I recommend you jstu go by the time and just play, so you can enjoy the game much more. If you already so happen to have done this you should delete the file and start completely over.
If you want to find a website for an FAQ, I recommend "http://www.gamesradar.com/wii/animal-crossing-city-folk/cheats-guides-faqs/g-2008071512432148099"
or you can use "http://faqs.ign.com/articles/934/934295p1.html", these are some of the best guides I found in the past when I got the game. Some of the information I obtained were from these guides so please use them wisely. They are not cheat guides unless you choose to use them that way.
If you have any more questions just send me a message and I'll see if Ic an help you.
