I'm getting all warm and fuzzy looking at this. It looks deliciously gory too, that scene with Jill and the two mutant things looks like it's straight out of Dead Space in terms of violence. HOORAY. ;)
Imagine if this game was 2D only. The gfx would have almost twice teh headroom to improve.

Last I checked RE: Revelations does get a visual boost when 3D is turned off.
yes, but its a minor boost. 2x anti-aliasing & a low sample motion blur is not going to fill up all that extra head room. The polygon count has the potential to nearly double as well as a few other things.
