So which genre do you think Wii is lacking themost?
Most wiillprobably say FPS (I personally dont really like them).
I think it is lacking in fighters (IMO only SSBB is worth mentioning and Tatsunoko VS Capcom looks good).

I'm going to go with a different approach here. Granted, I could list a genre or two that I think the Wii could see more games for, but I have to admit that I couldn't really find one specific genre in more of a need for a game than another. I think a bigger problem is that the Wii lacks big name, genre-defining games for a number of genres, which make the situation look worse than it is. It's not so much that the Wii doesn't have RPGs, FPS, etc. It's just that when you look at the top dogs in these genres, they're just not on the Wii, meaning that the system is stuck with more of the niche and lesser known games which don't get a lot of attention.
Until some "must-have" games start showing up with some of these genres, I think that feeling of emptiness regarding them is going to remain, even if some of these genres are seeing some Wii releases.
FPS.
Considering the Wii can't run games like Saints Row 2 and GTA I won't even bother saying those.

I forgot! I want some free roaming games like GTA (other than Godfather and Scarfrace that are both ports).
IMO, I've yet to see a FPS look any better on Wii then it does on ps2. So I stopped playing them for Wii, the controls get very annoying after awhile, much better with a mouse, or even an analog stick.FPS.

But anyways the Wii needs more 2D side-scrollers. The Demon Blade is awesome and I would like to see more games like that.
The Wii is also home to Mario Kart clones and Cooking Mama/Trauma Center games. So that's four.
It's lacking on No More Heroes clones though, the formula of slashing things to death wasn't even done right with Star Wars.
Also lacking racing sims. Even EA decided to not understand the Wii audience by making Nascar into a horrible Mario Kart clone.
jrpgs and srpgs
which always struck me as odd, seeing as how they aren't (don't need to be) that graphically impressive
wrpg's, fps, 3rd person shooters, and platformers (imo, I just miss the good ol' N64 days)
I guess no new platform is drowned in platformers though....:(
The wii lacks fighters, RPG's Shooters, and racing simulators. I am surprised to see people say platformers. There is Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario, De Blob, Mushroom Men, and a few others. If anythingthe Wiiis virtually the only place to find platformers besides some things on PS3 like Ratchet, Little Big Planet, and Pixeljunk Eden. The Wii lacks big name support besides capcom. All the main franchise games are going on PS3 or 360.
exactly my thoughts, while its little brother (the NDS) is swamped with the genre.jrpgs and srpgs

We need more good fighting games. Nintendo needs to team up with Sega and Namco to make a new IP on the level of Virtua Fighter and Tekken.
In the meantime, I'm happy for Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom.
I think it needs more games like Metroid Prime(Aka FPA)
I also want too see a ratchet and clank type of game or some Uncharted type game. That would satisfy me
i think its missing alot ir just dopnt hav those big name titles that the others have that define the system i mean i love my wii but cmon besides the nintendo produced games what really is there on the wii that isnt done better on 360 or ps3?
[QUOTE="Foxi911"]....People dont say FPS....nintendo isnt famous for FPS so what makes you think there lacking them!!!? anyways There missing Role Playing like Starfox and Fzero.TaMuK711

He probably didn't know what he was saying, or was drunk. "Nintendo isnt famous for FPS so what makes you think there lacking them!!!?" made no sense, even if they're not famous for FPS, they're technically still lacking them.
