Most of you should be ashamed

Ok, first to set some things up, i dislike animal crossing, i dont care about wii sports resort and to be honest appart from wiimotionplus nothing in the show appealed to me, also my first nintendo console was the gamecube, my first console was the master system, i had a megadrive and a ps and ps2 before i got that. And i can tell you that since i got the gamecube i realised that, compared, many of the games for the PS seemed hollow and shallow, the game sNintendo made were actualy fun, they delivered if you ask me. So now pretty much my console range is completly nintendo ( cept my PS2). Know why?? Because Nintendo is actually fun and it change dthe way i think about games. Now onto you who ahve given up on Nintendo.

IT WAS A CONFERENCE, E3 IS NOT OVER!!! You people are surpose dto stick by a company, but this proves that fans will literally turned away from you in a minute. Give Nintendo some slack why dont you, i admit i feel let down, but it's not like i'm gonna sell my wii put a picture of Shingera Miyamoto and Mario on my wall and start throwing darts at it unlike many of you sound like your doing ( other then hiding in closets crying like little girls who couldnt go to the prom). I think that if you wait just a bit longer you will be surprised, Nintendo hasn't turned it's back on us, if anything we are turning our back on it.

Ever since Nintendo had some sort of focus on casual games you have been like " I give up on Nintendo" and " Nintendo dont care bout us no more", well if they didnt, explain SMG, explain SSBB, explain MP3 and LoZ:TP and expalin the fact they put backwards compatability in the console, expalin why they have the virtual console. Way i see it you guys are looking through these things like they dont exist and heading straight for the cobwebs. Seriously ahve some faith, Nintendo hasn't left us in the dust yet.

( PS: I know alot of you arnt turning your backs yet so if your one of them i wasnt adressing you in the times i used most)

im not a fanboy, honestly, id much rather be doing something else at half 8 at night (WA) then voicing my opinions on a wii message board about the people who call themselfs fans crying because of 2 hours of a 4 day shwo taht aint even over yet. Way i see it people need to grow up. Besides pratically every franchise i like now i used to hate irrationally ( i use dto hate mario in good all sega games) but whatever im working on getting my TEE right now so maybe is hould just do soem homework.

Explain to me how one fails at E3. To my knowlege E3 is not a test. Developers are there to show what they have coming up in the next 6-9 months. This does not mean they failed. Just cause you dont like what they have does not mean they will fail..I am sure we will see great things come from nintendo and M$ and Sony.

Honestly I am one of those people who feel like I got screwed by nintendo.

I have been playing games since the nes and have owned almost every other console by any other company and right now i do own an wii 360 and ps3. I just strongly feel like they are focusing so much on the casual gamer that the stuff they are making at this current state in time (or atleast what they showed) is just not for people like me.Am i saying I need a new mario game or zelda? no not at all but i need to feel like im getting my moneys worth. I dont know about you but i payed 250 for a system i want to play games on and yes the other systems may have cost twice that and yes 250 is relatively cheap, but its still 250 i dont have anymore. Its still 250 that i could have spent on something else. I think what people are forgetting is that E3 is is to show people why you should own this game or this system. And i strongly feel like for the hardcore/average gamer (everyone excluding the casual gamer) their showing so far was terrible. The only game that really looked like it was worth the time was animal crossing, yet im not really into that series but am still happy they showed it.

In my opinion the people that should be ashamed are the ones who fit into the Hardcore/average gamer group and arent asking what is really going on? For so long we were the ones who made nintendo a household name and kept them in that place and now that they realize that theres a crap load of other people who didnt play games and have money their attention has gone else where.Actually what i am surprised about is tha the nintendo fanboys arent complaining more.

Im saying this only because i really feel like people like me really feel like our wii's are gonna be paper weights.Yeah i guess wii sports resort is gonna be interesting but the only reason why i played the original wii sports is because it came with the system. Wii music was something i was very interested in because i am a music major in college but that was embarrassing.

Let me also say that there are strong possibilities that Nintendo could announce something completely awesome later but right now im just thanking god i decided to get a 360 and a ps3.

Nintendo is not your friend, they are a company in the business of making money. And their loyalty is to that money, not to you. Yes, we'll see a new Zelda and a new Mario and all those big franchises again at some point, but that doesn't change the fact that their focus is obviously set somewhere else. I don't blame them, it's been a great decision for them so far, but not for me. I'm not saying I'm selling my Wii, there's still plenty to be happy about from third parties.

You're delusional if you think Nintendo cannot disappoint. They're a great company, but they've had letdowns in the past, and they'll have them in the future just like any other company.

I agree. This is why I love(d?) Nintendo. However, we are slowly seeing more and more innovation come through on other consoles, while the Wii is catering more and more to the casual gamer. Look at Portal on the PC, Assassin's Creed on the 360 or even games like World in Conflict.

Nintendo is fantastic when it does a game well-they are the best game developer in the world, and put a smile on my face like no other company can. However, they are doing it more and more rarely.

Why? Companies are there to make money. They do so by selling something that people want. This is what Nintendo are doing. However, they are no longer selling what some people want, and therefore those people have every right to seek their gaming entertainment elsewhere. There is no reason for somebody to be loyal to a company.

I think you misunderstand what some of us are feeling. I don't feel let down at all by Nintendo. They have found a way to make money and are doing it well. That is what business is all about, so well done them! However, I feel that they are no longer entertaining me as they once did, and that I should therefore go seek entertainment elsewhere. If Nintendo start producing again I will start buying from them again. I am not angry with them, they are just no longer giving me what I want.

SMG, MP3, LOZ- All very good games and I have no quibbles with them. However, these are the only 3 good "hardcore" games that Nintendo have released in 2 years!

SSBB- Caters to the "casual" gamer far more than SSB or SSBM did. A gaem in which you can play and learn it for hours, only to then be beaten by a newcomer who gets a luck Final Smash is not hardcore. It caters far more to people playing it at parties.

Backwards compatibility and Virtual Console- In both of these it is costing Nintendo barely anything to sell us their old games. They are not doing anything new for us, they are merely re-releasing old stuff for the hardcore gamer to buy. If anything Nintendo are showing that they have turned their backs by doing this-they are telling us to make do with old games while the casual gamer gets the new stuff, and all the money that they put into R&D.

I know that many of you will say that 3 good games in 2 years is OK-it takes a long time to make a game. However, this makes little sense to me. In the days of the N64/Cube Nintendo were releasing a LOT of very very good second party games-companies which made the games, but which Nintendo had stakes in and oversaw-Goldeneye, Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Starfox, F-Zero and many more were games like this. They are all great games, and if Nintendo did this now they could release many good hardcore games in a relatively short time. However, they don't as it costs them money which they could plough into the lucrative casual gamer market.

Nintendo has simply gone in a direction which does not suit what I want. I should feel no shame in stopping buying from them-if I don't like a product, I shouldn't buy it just out of loyalty. They are a business who has taken a certain direction. I want something which they are no longer providing, therefore I am not buying any of the products which they are releasing and I don't want.

Actually Sepewrath A new super smash brothers was announced at e3 with the unveiling of the wii. We just didnt find out anything else about it until later. If you go back and look at early interviews sakurai didnt even know he was going to be doing a new ssb game until after that conference.

Just to let you know its just as bad to complain about someone complaining. So before you act like your the better person in this situation take a look back and realize your doing the same thing your complaining about other people doing.

Granted but, 1 person complaining in hopes of stopping the 12 identical topics all complaining about the same thing is worth it. Also my question to you and the people complaining is why does it matter when it is announced, isnt the only important thing is the fact that it was announced. It matters because i want to know why i had to go out and get this system now rather than wait till better games come out if better games come out. part of the reason why they give release dates is so that people will know which systems to buy and frankly right now i dont really see why i went out and got this system on launch date for like 4 or 5 good games. Am i saying that they need to give me release dates on every hardcore game right now? not at all but is animal crossing the best we are going to get. granted it is a good game but its not worth having the system over. and yes brawl was released later but we still had a plethora of games out or coming out soon. This time we dont really have that.

As i said before maybe they will release information on something that may actaully be good but until than, ill call them as i see them.

Also i do commend you on trying to say something about the "whiners" and so forth but whining about them whining is not necessarily better, its hypocritical.

Where the hell do you get fans should be loyal to a company from? the only reason I have stuck with Nintendo for so many years is because they have generally given me top quality but I don't feel I owe them anything, they did not give these games to me or the consoles I play them on, infact I actually had to buy them with my own money :o. You do realize that Nintendo promised they would deliver for the hardcore gamer right? Their answer was Animal Crossing, a sequel to one of the most casual games for the Gamecube. Nintendo let their hardcore fanbase down.Rocky32189

Actually, saying that you'd rather not have a woman at all would have been a little better than saying that you would like to have a woman specifically as eye candy (and therefore an object).

No offense, but WHY?!! I have enjoyed Nintendo's games from a young age, but I fail to understand this fanboyism. Nintendo are a company. If they produce something which I want, I will buy it. If not, I will move on. Would you seriously continue to buy Nintendo consoles just because they are made by Nintendo, even if there are no games on them that you want?
