Most Overhyped Games?

What in your opinion have been the DS's most overhyped games?

I'd say Nintendogs was pretty overhyped, as well as New Super Mario Bros. It was too short; still loads of fun, just too short.

I don't know many DS that have been overhyped, but the new C&C Series on PC and Xbox360 by EA games is overhyped!

Elite Beat Agents...ugh. That game got such good reviews, and it was some of the most boring gameplay I've ever experienced.

New Super Mario Bros. was pretty annoying too.

New Super Mario Borthers didn't seem short to me. Way too easy, but not too short. I think the FF remakes are overhyped. That gameplay hasn't changed and feels outdated.jimkabrhel

Nintendogs, I can't stand those games :P

I found NSMB to be pretty enjoyable, but too easy.

Mario Kart DS is easily my favorite game on the DS.

huh. i really liked that one. to me it felt like after double dash (which wasnt too great) mario kart was getting back to its roots. i had friends to play with though, which adds to the fun a great deal.

I didn't see Ninjatown hyped that much. I thought it was underrated IMO.

But I will agree on Portrait of Ruin and Nintendogs.

i am really amazed that no one said this yet, but POKEMON IS OVERHYPED. i played all the pokemon games and diamond and pearl just wasnt...good. i didnt see new things. it was the same stuff lik you get badges and a legendary pokemon and you battle an evil organization. Also, i agree on the final fantazsy games, especially 3 because its just too slow and i got so bored of it.sonicfan1012

Why? I don't get it? Its a good game (my opinion). I didn't think it was 'overhyped'. It wasn't really well known before release (what I recalled).

Also, Order of Ecclesia was very lacking... the art style was nice and the boss battles were excellent, but that was about it. I preferred Portrait of Ruin. Or, better yet, Symphony of the Night...

Hmmm... perhaps you're right. The music IS unplesant but the Japanese ones weren't that bad. Yep, ZERO replay value. What do you mean combat is glitchy? Yeah, TWEWY could have just gotten 8 or 8.5

Chrono Trigger and The World Ends With Youforgot_it

Thats pretty bold to say because both of those games are highly talked about. I just got Chrono Trigger a few days ago for my new DS lite and its the first time I have ever played Chrono Trigger. It is a really great game IMO and obviously has stood the test of time and is still great, so it can't be overhyped. TWEWY didn't seem like it was overhyped, there wasn't very much going around about that game until it came out and everyone thought it was a great game. I have tried it but don't own it and it was pretty good imo.
