since when was nintendogs ever praised ?spec0688
I believe among children and people who really love to raise virtual pets. Just a guess though.

When it was first released it was getting ridiculously high review ratings.. I admit i got sucked into it, especially when the employees at EB were all sitting behind the counter playing it as i walked into the store.
20 minutes later and i was back to trade the thing in.
I don't think it's overpraised NOW, but at the time of it's release it was DEFINITELY overhyped..Nintendo must've payed off the reviewers...
Anyways, as for me: I say Elite Beat Agents...
well id say nintendogs, it was one of few games who got full score in famitsu (big japan gamemag) which is a huge deal, but i got bored at it after one day, i agree to what other games been said too, pokemon pearl, but then it was my first pokemongame so i guess pokemon is just not for me, new supermario...well i love old mario but i guess im over my platformlove since long ago, i agree with elite beat agents too, just way too good scores in reviews then what i think it should have gotten, same with meteos
as for zelda, nope totally worth the score for me:D
mario kart kinda was, there's not much to single player and multiplayer doesn't take that long to get over either. New Super Mario Bros. was a remake of a classic, but it's still a bit on the overrated side.
I don't think Phantom Hourglass and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were, but that's just me. Also, I thought Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings was excellent, and Final Fantasy III, another classic remake, was pretty good.
I notice Castlevania games and Lunar Knights aren't on here. Maybe I should pick them up. The World Ends With You looks pretty good too, I'm definitely interested in that one.
Nintendogs. Definitely. Walk the dog, feed the dog, clean up the doo. Walk the dog, feed the dog, clean up the doo.
I didn't like Elite Beat Agents either.
Phantom Hourglass, however, deserved all the praise it got. It was superb for usage of the whole DS experience.
Phoenix Wright - The game consists of moving around to exhaust dialog trees then going to trial. During the trial you then object and pick evidence that contradicts the witness. It becomes repetative very quickly and often times you have much better evidence to produce, but the game requires you to jump from A to B to C in the evidence chain even though evidence C could be produced at the same time as A and save time.

This website have given it 9.1, which is higher than most games.
Lunar Knights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably the most overrated in my opinion
DQM - I was hyping it because of DWM but this one turned out to be a grind fest
Nintendogs - It was okay but not AAA material.
Pokemon D/P
Even though Pokemon was good it's probably the worst in the series. There were a lot of little subtle flaws.
CastleVania, Portrait of Ruin was pretty over rated, and EXTREMELY hard once you got to Dracula.
Lunar Knights, I think that was VERY over rated.
Elduque21
If you got the whip that you started out with at the begining of the game and upgraded it by defeating the whip's spirit. Then Dracula becomes really easy.
Now that's it's been mentioned by another, I do think Professor Layton and the Curious Village is a bit overrated. It was good, different, but not that grand. At least that's my opinion. But yeah, I guess it is a tie for me between Pokemon D/P and Layton.
First of all, why does everyone hate mario..?!
I'd even give it a 9.5..
Games that I think that are overrated are:
YOSHI"S ISLAND (GBA) >>>>> 9.5
YOSHIS ISLAND DS (NDS) >>>>> 9.1
I mean, what the hell..
I bought YOSHI"S ISLAND (GBA) because of its Gamespot rating..
2 hours after playing Yoshi's island (GBA),
I started doubting Gamespot's rating system..
I even thought about Nintendo bribing Gamespot to give Yoshi's island a high score..
Tis a blank word .. doesn't mean anything .. i'm guessing you like brain age
Sorreltail
Brain Age 2

You love NSMB, but don't appreciate the absolute magnificence of Yoshi's Island, probably the best platformer of all time?
Okay, you guys are crazy.... Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was the sole reason I purchased a DS, and worth more than every penny I spent on the system. That game breathed new life into a formula that has been slowly growing tired over the years, and merged everything great about the 2D Zeldas with a lot of really cool elements from the console 3D Zeldas. The controls were extremely innovative and was one of the most addictive Zelda titles that I've ever played. THEN to say New Super Mario Bros. was really overrated? COME ON..... Yeah the plot's boring, yeah we've done this type of thing before, but the level design was fantastic, adding in some of the new moves Mario's gained in his 3D games, not to mention the complete replayability of all the minigames w/friends. And Pokemon Diamond/Pearl is crazy poke-addiciting... If you don't like Pokemon Diamond, then you probably didn't like any of the other Pokemon RPG games.
But for me, the most overrated DS game that I own is definitely Worms: Open Warfare 2. No one is ever playing that game online, and the single player can't hold my attention that long. The only reason I bought it is because Worms Armageddon was one of my favorite video games of all time, and this game was supposed to be a return to form for the Worms series. Maybe my opinion of that game would change if could actually battle another human being somewhere in the world.
I can understand thinking that New Super Mario Bros. was too easy, and I can understand not liking Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, but that's only if you don't like the Pokemon games in the first place. However, you should not diss Phantom Hourglass just because of your incompetence as a gamer. Alright, I think I'm done ranting now.
