in TP, I'd go with the dominion rod......actually, that's possibly the most useless item in ANY zelda game, so I'm gunna go with that as my pick for most useless ever =P as for recurring items, yeah, bombchus suck.
I love the Hookshot! But the Bombchus are nearly useless, you only need them for a MM mini-game and a dungeon on the moon that you play as Link.Pierst179
Bombchu bowling in Ocarina was fun, and I used em to hit switches around walls pretty often.
I'd say the Dominion Rod. It just sucked, it made the boss battle suck. It sucks.Â
i think the dominion rod was lame because you couldnt just take control of it and move it by itself, it would of been nice if you could have moved it seperate in rooms with lots of enemies having a statue with a giant hammer was pretty fun, other than that probally the slingshot i was never a fan of that weapon, just seemed a bit lame. they all serve there purpose i supose though.

The Spinner. My god, it was so useless. You use it like 3 times, and never again. Outside of dungeons its totally useless. You can do some tiny damage to an enemy, but you can barely go anywhere with it. Horrible.
You kidding me? Those are awesome! I'd have to say the bomchu's are the most overrated. They were cool, but very very... well... useless. As far as bad Zelda items? The Dominion Rod. You go through the entire Temple of Time just to get a whole lot of... nothing.
Did anyone use the hawkeye? I hit the pole in Kakariko without it on with my second shot. I only used it again in the Cave of Ordeals (which isn't neccessary to complete the game) when I shot the two archers on top of the towers around level 45. Other than that, never again. It was funner to keep shooting the bow with the Wii remote. What the heck else are you going to do with 100 arrows?
dominion rod and bombchus, i never used bombchus once. i actually used the majic armor on gannon just for fun, and in the last lvl of the cave of ordeals.
Hawkeye is pretty useless and you lose the ability to move it around with the wiimote Bomblings just suck at least bombchus looked kind fo cute :p Dominion Rod is used for Temple of Time then is just pointless and I didn't like the fact you had to move to make statues move often resulting in getting hit While the Spinner is useless for the most part outside the dungeon you get it, it's fun while it lasts

The Magic armor was pretty dumb too, especially after what you had to do to get it.
When you get the Spinner in Twilight Princess, you automatically get this idea that you can travel Tony Hawk style (especially since it works best in sand, and it was involved in arguably the best boss battle in the game). But after you beat that dungeon, you realize that it's not a very mobile form of transportation and it's really useless.
Next time Nintendo creates a new Zelda game, all items should be useful and not overpower any of the other items (Who needs a slingshot if I have a bow and arrow? Why can't I use the Dominion Rod on enemies to control them? Why can't I use the Spinner to skate my way across Hyrule? Who needs regular bombs if I could use Water Bombs? Why aren't Bombchus readily available in areas other than town shops?).Â
The Dominion rod and Spinner in TP (Although the boss battle with the spinner was great) The megaton/skull hammer from OOT and WW. Pretty useless, and not all that good n combat.
