I am determined to complete 999 and am currently working on the 4th ending, skipping the "fake" ending, then going for the true ending. Then onto VLR!

The true ending is one of the best endings, if not the best ending, I've seen in any medium of storytelling, ever. I recently let my friend borrow 999 and gave him a guide to the five main endings. I thought he would take a month to finish it, but he got so sucked in it took him a week and he cannot stop talking about how amazing the story's subtle touches and fantastic twists are. VLR is awesome as well.

VLR is awesome as well. Yeah the ending was amazing for 999, much better than VLR ending in my opinion. It's not so bad though since VLR ending basically set up the third game.

As for the 999 ending:
It was amazing how they used the DS screens as an integral part of the game. Since the bottom screen was supposed to represent what Akane saw and the top what Junpei saw. Also seeing Akane as a child in that situation, was genuinely moving and tense.
Spent 5 hours playing last night that I should have spent sleeping. Finished the Safe ending playthrough. Wow. Lots of new information, but I kind of figured out a few key points from looking at information gathered from the 3 bad endings. It did make me sad given how things turned out, but I'm pumped now to start my True Ending playthough and see if my suspicions are correct. I've been lucky to have very little spoiled for me and can't wait to conclude this story.Â
On topic - May seemed like a slow release month for the 3DS anyways. Not surprised most people had low playtimes. Can't wait for all the future releases the 3DS has in store for us. Now if only I could hurry up and tackle my backlog so I could play most of the already released 3DS games I own :P.
