I wonder apart from the motion plus sells with wii sports resort bundle, are people really buying it? i think is a great accesory, along with the balance board, not like the wheel or zapper that are just plastic..

everyone says (including gamespot team) it is a great accesory, very advance i think, but how the crowd are recieving it?

I have not picked it up yet, I am kinda against addons even knowing this is beneficial overall. I will pick it up when Zelda comes out if it is needed.

Don't buy it now. Cuz there are only few games that support Wii Motion Plus.

I bought it around a month after it came out for Tiger Woods and Wii Sports Resort.

I can't wait for Red Steel 2. It's going to be the first, "Real" game to use it. I'm not saying that Tiger Woods and Wii Sports resort are bad, but they are sports games, and they aren't really my type of games to be playing every day.

i've heard good things about it.

Edit:

Is it confirmed Metriod is using it? If so, it will be even more awesome.

Just a follow up to this....the few games that support it are some of the best experiences you can have on the wii! TIger Woods 10 and Wii Sports Resort are worth having the motion plus for alone. That is only my opinion, but seems anyone who says specifically not to buy it has not tried it.

I ordered on launch day and had alot of fun with Tiger Woods 10. Again... golf games wont be the same on any other control scheme. Its nice although it should have been there from the beginning. The technology was there (electric gyroscopes arent that new)... The support for motion + will grow in 2010, so i'ts a must have if you ask me.

if i'm not mistaken, it's sold pretty well, well enough for devs to risk making games with it from various genres (unlike the balance board, which despite the popularity, isn't exactly the kind of thing you should use on most games that not fitness games)

I think it has sold well mostly due to the high sales in Wii Sports Resort, and the fact people want to have extra motion sensors for multiplayer games. It's better than the Wii remote'scurrent motion sensor capabilities, but definitely not worth the buy right now. It's worth waiting to see if other games require it or not.

Basically every game that currently uses Wii MotionPlus has it bundled with the game for $10 less than the game and MotionPlus separately, so there's very little reason to buy it separately (unless you just want a sexy-sleek black Wii remote like me 8)). Besides, for the single-player MotionPlus games you don't need more than one MotionPlus unit. Although for Wii Sports Resorty you really need at least two.

...has anybody played NHL 2k10? It seems really fun; I'd rent it, but there's not rental store near me and GameFly is mad expensive. Does that require multiple MotionPlus units for multiplayer? (I'd presume so...)

I don't know how much it has sold alone, but it has sold quite well with the pack ins, especially now that WSR has two in it. It has a huge install base that wlll only grow with RS2 and of course Zelda.

Wii Sports convinced everyone to buy a Wii, WSR convinced everyone to buy Motion Plus. This should set the stage for many M+ compatible games to be released this year.
