im thinking about buying a wii tomorrow, Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter tri (love the classic controller pro!), Capcom vs Tatsunoko, and metriod other m, are my driving titles! I assume you all would tell me to go for it lol, but could you tell me why?
It depends. If you're generally a fan of Nintendo game's, go for it. Also it seems like you have a list of titles you already want, which is good. If you have around 6-10 titles you want for it (out now or coming out) - then don't hesitate getting one because you shouldn't be disappointed.
many reasons actually, although you dont get HD, you get other really good titles like super mario galaxy, metroid prime trilogy (MUST HAVE REALLY), super smash brothers brawl, mario kart, cod:mw:r(i know some ppl dont like it but i love the wiis controls for fps, although i don recommend the conduit), and many other remakes that gives some sort of new experience with the wii controls like Resident Evil 4 and Okami, really the wii controls make the experience different and somehow better than the originals. Plus its an amazingly flexible console you got wiimote-nunchuk-m+ controls, gamecueb controls, or classisc controller controls... it is in fact a FUN little white box... oh and i read bomm blox is good too
I love how its not "i'm thinking of getting a wii" but that you've set a date even. more specifically tomorrow. Does it really matter what I say, you sound like you have enough motivation already. That and how many people do you expect to say no in a wii discussion forum of all places. Anyone in here that doesn't own or like their wii is making a more efficient waste of their time than I am.

It's hard to give reasons for monster hunter and other m since i'm going on speculation too. And I havn't played redsteel 2 yet. You will need a motion plus attachment for it though. There is some games that I think your missing out on such as Mario Kart, Metroid Trilogy, Mario Galaxy 1&2, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Okami, Most seemed to like Zelda TP, are just some off the top of my head. Not to mention the downloadable content of wiiware and classic games from all previous nintendo systems and the wii is also a gamecube, though personally theres not alot missed there. The wii is cool in the way that for alot of games you can choose your control scheme be it wiimote, nunchuck, classic controller, gamecube.I don't regret purchasing my wii and I doubt you would either.

hey man thanx alot i think im going to pick it up tomorrow with red steel2 + wmp probably preorder monster hunter with the CCP and use that to play SSB and CvT thanks for the input.
Twilight Princess, Mario Kart, the virtual console, super mario galaxy, wii sports resort, de blob, wii fit, SSBB, metroid prime trilogy, no more heroes, okami, excite truck, excite bots, the wiiware service, silent hill shattered memories... well I think I have said enough. You will not regret getting a Wii.
Despite owning both a PS3 and 360 in addition to my Wii, I find myself playing my Wii just as much as either of the other systems. Plus, I really like the Virtual Console.... I get to relive so many NES, SNES, and N64 titles. Two more things that should seal the deal for getting a Wii...... Super Mario Galaxy 2 (and the first one if you haven't played it yet) and the new Zelda game.
Wii is OK if you want to get 2-4 exclusive games per year. It is even better if you own another console.
Wii is great if you have children, like to play with friends (specially female), or would like your parents or grandparents to play games.
Wii is superb if you are a Nintendo fan. Ahh! Wii Fit is also superb if you have a girlfriend. A nice girlfriend.
