MP3 for the first time

Hey, MP3 will be my first metroid game and i was wondering do u think i will need to play the first two to have a good sense of the story or is it preety straight forward. Feel free to give a summary.

i think you should play the first 1 or 2, you may not like the prime series, i know i dont, they are more first person adventure than fps, id just get metroid prime 1 for super cheap and if yuo dont like it, dont get 3bobbetybob

I think that MP1 was great, and 2 was good, and 3 should be amazing also. But it's all a personal taste to the genre. It is a first person adventure game not first person shooter. So although you go around shooting things to clear a room, shooting baddies isn't the main purpose of the game, which exploration is. I would suggest you buy MP1 and see if you like it. Some people LOVE it and some people HATE it. No point in paying full price for MP3 if you don't like it.

I personally wouldnt change a thing in the first 2, as they were very entertaining.

There is only 1 thing that is continuous for story which is MEtroid other than that, the story really isn't continuous. I would get 1 because EB games sells it for dirt cheap,$5. Rent MP2 if you beat MP1. They are both great games, but don't expect an FPS, there is alot of shooting but even more exploring.

I feel sorry for who ever did the amazing job of writing the plot, story and script for the Prime series. So many people assume Prime 1&2 have no story because they can't be bother to read the scans, when they actually have one of the most interesting, in-depth and intelligently written storylines I've ever seen in a game.
