My four-year-old hasn't quite gotten her arms around console gaming yet.  So far, she only does some learning games on the PC.  Your kid must be a natural at videogames, my best at Wii Bowling is 210.

My 4 year old love the Wii too, but he's not that good at it.  Actually I started him out on driving/racing games at age 3 (on the Game Cube).  A great game for kids is the Simpsons: Hit & Run (his first game).  Even though Bart & Homer do say some "bad words" like "butthead" and "jerk".  Really it has to do with the mechanics of actually playing the game (which is why the Wii is so easy).  For The Simpsons, basically you just steer with the analong stick (left hand) and gas with the right analog shoulder button (right hand).  Plus, you can just drive around on the level without entering any "missions".  He always had a great time playing it.  Of course, after a while I had to show him how to get out of cars and into new cars, and run around and kick & jump, etc...

He still loves racing games and Tony Hawk Downhill is one of his favorites.  I'll probably end up picking up Excite Truck just for him.

My 4 year old daughter wanted to play Lego-Star Wars, but she's stubborn and won't listen when I tell her how to hold the controller.  I let my 1 year old daughter hold a broken GC controller while I'm playing, and she'll try to hold it right, even though her hands are too small, so I have more hope for her.  Probably, they'll be about 6 before they can really play.  I don't plan on ever giving up on videogames, so when my daughters start dating, I plan to make guys play against me before they can take my girls out.  If I don't like the guy I'll say, "you can't take my daughter out until you beat me in Mario Kart Double Dash!"

Hun, reminds me of when I was three, I beat Super Mario All-Star, Super Mario World, plus Donkey Kong Country and Star Fox (I think I was four when I beat Star Fox).  Plus I played and beat other games around that age.

But hearing about your son puts a smile on my face, see!:D

I really think you are exagerating as is the original poster. My three year old isnt even interested in video games and I have a hard time picturing a 3 year old beating any of the games you listed. And getting a 250 on wii bowling at the age of four yeah ok. Sorry but I dont believe you or the topid starter.

I beat my first game at 6-7 years old and it was Legend of Zelda on NES and I begin to play at 5. The little guy could have played enough times to play like that.

That's where I started my gaming career. Same age as him too.

Thats awesome that he got a 250!  My kid (he's three) is not so good at the games.  But he does love playing the wii.  His favorite is the Where's Waldo game on Wii Play.  He's really good at it, and loves it when he has to find his parents or grandparents.  He also loves the Cow game..  And he likes Tennis and boxing too.  The wii is just so awesome for so many diferent things!!

My son did bowl 250 and he does play Lego Star Wars on the 360.  I think his favorite is marvel ultimat alliance. I was pretty good when I was his age. Its in his blood, My wife is a gamer also. She put 120 hour into Oblivion. She has I dont even know how many hours into Animal Crossing. We have 4 children My 4 year old son is the oldest. He will sit there and watch me play and learn then he just gets it right away. To the posters who don't believe me. I have no reason at all to lie. I think its cool that he loves to play games. This is our real next-gen gamers in the making......

over christmas I took my wii over to my house back home. I had all my family around for dinner and afterwards I showed everyone the wii, my 5 year old nephew was really funny to watch playing boxing, he would just be laughing his head off shouting "how cool!" I thought it was great :D, also got my parents interested in buying one seeing as I just about don't live there anymore :P hehe

My 5 year old nephew loves my Wii too. He's not that great, though. I think the best he has bowled has been like a 110. But he wants to play it every day so I'm sure he'll get better!
