That's your choice,I don't mind putting in a few digits and play online. It takes less than a minute :?.I love strikers online and I don't need a big online interface,I just need insurance that I can play with my friends online without going througha bunch of hoops and that is what Wiiconnect offers me.

but don't you get frusturated with some thing, like your playing with your friend that lives across the country, or even overseas (i live in japan) and you can't even talk to them with a mic.?

or instead of "oh whats your wiitag?" "its i'm_cool123"

Its "oh whats your wii code?" "hold on let me run upstairs" *runs up stairs, turns on wii, checks, memorizes, comes back down* "okay its 1234 5634 9483 9584, or was it9548? DANGIT!!!" *runs back up stairs turn wii back on, checks, comes back down* "okay nevermind i was right, whats yours???"*repeats process*

not really....when i play live half the people dont use their actual voice or are just annoying so i dont use my mic anyways. and the EASY solution for FC thing is write it down...that way you wont forget it...Not to mention if you've been following the updates for Brawl they are using both that and the random match up

All major decisions must come down from Nintendo Japan. The Japanese haven't really embraced internet the way we and the rest of the world have... Friend codes will go away, it's just a matter of them realizing their fears are (for the most part) unfounded.

Yes,the mic thing would be nice, but it isn't always positive...I used to play online with my playstation 2 and when I killed a guy he started shouting, verbal abuse, that kind of stuff...but it still would be nice to play with a mic with the right people.
About the whole Wiitag/friendcode...I actually do this, some kind of tip.I have a file on my computer that contains all the friend codes of my friends and my friend code too..Next to my Wii I have a little notepad,on it there are also all the friend codes that I need. It's something simple and useful. You should try that...it helps.

if you want |Nintendo to do something, you shouldn't send such an offensive message, and bombarding them with tons of emails wont work either, you must have a smart, meture, and polite approach, not demanding these things like some child yelling at his parents. you must make a good point, talk smart, give them reasons and possible results, make a survey and ask people to sign it, when you think its all good, run it by a couple of more people to check it, then send it, and i assure you, they will at least consider your suggestion, rather than shut you up with a template reply.

and no, i will not send an email like yours to Nintendo. if you really insist on ur requests, you will make a better email, a polite email.

note: i keep my wii# in a note in my mobile (nokia) the same thing for my wii friends codes.

Which works well enough with the 2 or three online games they have. But if you've got 10 friends, and 10 games, that's a 100 codes that you need to keep track of. Super.

since i hate online from the bottom of my heart i couldn't care less. I would prefer with the friend codes and free online over no friend codes and online service payment.

how about no friend codes, with online payment, but you don't have to pay because you hate online and you wouldn't play online anyways... on you wouldn't be FORCED to pay and you would have a catchy little wiitag thing instead of 1982 3820 8830 8302

Seriously it doesnt matter to me that much. I bought my system for the games, which is why i chose a Wii. I already have a computer so an online interface on a console means nothing to me. I have added some of my friends with the friend code, but chatting on msn or voice chatting on Ventrilo on our computers is still way more efficient. Same goes with the web browser, dvd playing capabilities, and any other features that these newer consoles have, I already have a piece of equipment whose sole purpose is to do those jobs and do them better than any console could.

Yeah, see that's where you lost any support you might have had from me. I don't need to flush $60 down the drain each year just to play against people with names like Your_Mom69 or DaddysLittleHo. Nor do I wish to chat with these people before, during, or after their destruction. I'd rather keep friend codes and keep it free. I don't have a problem writing down and keeping track of numbers -- a little organization goes a long way.

Well first off, your email was a joke. As someone in marketing and customer service, I can tell you that email will never be sent to the appropriate people and it won't even be looked at twice. Try being a bit intelligent and respectful next time.

Secondly, I own a 360 as well and that is the console I use for online gaming. I don't want the Wii to initiate some Xbox Live knockoff system, especially if I have to pay for that on top of my Live account. Yeah, it would be nice to chat with someone you are playing, but I don't know that the Wii will ever be as online heavy as the 360 is. To me, the Wii is better suited for single player and same system multiplayer games.

I'm glad that some of the Wii games have started to utilize online play, but I think Nintendo would be smart to leave the online system as is. They aren't Microsoft, so why should they copy everything Live gives you? If I can play a couple of my Wii games online, great. But I don't need to have a pay service just so I can chat with someone. 75% of the time on Live I end up with some annoying little sh*t-talking kid anyway... what's great about that?

I've had a wii for8 months nowand i still dont know how the friends code thing works. Is it that you can only have that wii number as a name to contact ur friends because ive always wanted to know why people hate it?Anyway yeah it would be handy to have a mic or something i've never used one but its probably important in online gaming.

Thanks for the tip but I already sent off my daily Email saying that I love friend codes and that was a major decision in me picking the Wii.

i think the online system atm is good enough. As said before i don't think online is ninty's major concern atm, i think its releasing games to get people hooked. I'm sure soon enough they'll adopt a better system for online play, but not until theres a wide variety of games available, not just a few.

I don't have a problem keeping a few numbers in a notepad file on my desktop, anybody asks, its there, and don't even have to get out of my chair.

I don't care about friend codes. Sure, it's better without them, but I don't whether they remove them or not, thus, I'm not forwarding an e-mail to Nintendo, because i don't care :)

Anyway, you don't have to send them e-mails, they know what their fans want, Sonic in Brawl confirms this :D
