My friend and I were wondering...

Hey guys! So, my friend and I were wonderingthe other day, why does 2kgames(I think that's the company name) don't want to make an oblivion for the wii? I mean, that would be maybe the best game on the wii so far, with the wii-mote, we would fight monsters with our weapon, cast spells, etc.. The gameplay would be so nice with the remote (using the remote as a key, for example) and they would just have to get the graphics a little bit lower...

So, we were wondering, why wouldn't they make Oblivion for the wii? It would be just the best game to integratethe wii-mote, are they lazy, or..? o_0

Oblivion pushed the graphics for the 360, so I doubt it could ever be on the wii.

However, how could would it be if we got a polished version of Morrowind?

I like the wii for the party games and the sports games, but we must admit it, there's a lot of bad games on it too. Why does no company want to develop some good games (I mean games like oblivion) on it?Renwyld

i had actually given this a thought as well and ive come to realize that using the remote for the things in which u have described would be kinda fun...maybe the creators r lazy

I'd rather have a totally new Elder Scrolls than a port.

And third party games are coming soon. We already got EA and Activision, the two biggest third party companies right now, on our side.

As a launch title, or slightly after launch title ( I dont remember ) Oblivion looks pretty good. But I'd hardly say it pushed the graphics for the 360, Gears, Dirt, Vegas, all look night and day better than Oblivion, and with titles like Mass Effect coming its just making Oblivion look like a slightly polished Morrowind.

I do like Oblivion a lot, however.

The reason is because devs are lazy, if they cant simply port it over they dont want to make it.Sepewrath

I think a lot of people are underestimating how much time an effort it takes to make a game. It's not a simple matter of saying, ok you're on the Wii now...

And I would imagine companies would much rather create new games rather than endlessly create the same one.
