Looks like there was an error in the paragraph formatting with the forum, so here is how the above (^) post should look:
Well, technically, my broken DS can still play GBA games fine since the only thing that's broken about it is the top screen (shattered to pieces inside the screen itself), and it also has some broken or roughly bended pins on the DS cartridge slot. But I can still play GBA games on the lower touch screen, which is still working fine. Also, is it true that the new DSi will be flash-proof? Flash-proof as in that it won't be able to read flash carts like the R4, M3, Supercard, etc. This is pretty important to me because I'm really interested in homebrew software and system modifications, so I'm guessing I'll have to wait quite a while until the DSi gets hacked. I'm also quite skeptic as to the release date of the handheld console. Does it really come out on april, or on another date? And how reliable is this information?
And as for the pros/cons of the DSi vs. DS lite, I'm pretty much aware of them, I'm just having a hard time deciding which way to go. I would like to know just how effective is the new DSi's software, but that seems just about impossible because it hasn't been released in N.A. (North America) yet. I guess I should also consider the extra $50 and the waiting time for getting the DSi, which is sounding more like a downgrade than an upgrade to the DS Lite, in my purchase.
So, basically, I still don't know which one to get, but I'm inclining a bit more in favor of the Lite, since it is instant entertainment (already released) and there's a lot of games coming out in the next months that have really caught my eyes. But still, the upcoming DSi's SD card compatibility sounds godly, and the downloadable capabilities also sounds like a lot of fun.
*Sigh*, I wish this wasn't so hard. Rocketomy
