So my little cousin came over to play wii at my house today. He is 8 years old, the target age for kid games on the wii. THE WII ISN'T MADE FOR CHILDREN! He tried wii sports and warioware (one of the most child targeted games out there) and didn't get very far. He was flailing around in wii sports, even after learning how to play. He almost snapped the nunchuk wire in half, and kept banging the two together. I actually found a bit of a chip in my wii mote after he left. Warioware didn't go well either. He just couldn't get the grasp of the game. The interface was confusing to him, and everything just wasn't right for a child his age. Simply put, the wii isn't for kids and has personally for me shed its "kiddy" image everyone speaks of.Tyberg29Everyone knows the wii is a kiddy console, but know one gives a crap. you're little cousin, is just slow, if he is eight years old and can't figure out those games. My 6 year old brother is about the best wario ware player.
My cousin is younger than yours and he understands it pretty well. He's better than me at Ultimate Alliance (which I hate). Plus, his little sister, maybe 4, is pretty good at Wii Sports.Tak963

I've been playing games since I was three and the Wii would have been easy for me to use at age eight. Some of the Wii games will obviously not be targeted at kids but that doesn't mean that kids shouldn't understand how to play them.
Gears of War is not targeting a kid audience but if an eight year old couldn't pick up on the controls and would almost break the controller trying, I would be worried.
If some little bastard was banging my controllers together hard enough to chip them, I don't think he would have to worry about a mental problemNuck81
Yes, I forgot to add that to my post.

Shut up, he was merely trying to make a point
My 7 year old nephew finds the games simple but fun, your cousin, does he have a mental problem, those games are simple, but there is a difference if he didn't like them.judog1Yeah, my cousin was 4 or 5 when we first played Warioware on the gamecube dude and he got it. I think its just your cousin.
