I'm 25 years old, and this game looks good to me. I am wondering who else thinks this game looks good and how old you are? I don't want to end up buying a game that is more juvenile than Pokemon, so I might have to rent this one first.
I was interested in the game until I found out that the gameplay consisted mostly of building furniture, and that it's a bit repetitive. I may wait for more reviews before checking it out. I thought it looked like a really fun game. I'm 22 by the way.
I'm pretty interested in it, but I'm going to read up more on it before making a final decision. In my household, I'm the youngest at 20 years old. And though age hardly implies maturity, let me say that there's not a single person in my family (20 and up) that doesn't like playing the Wii. Even my grandmother, who barely likes the idea of the tv remote let alone a Wii remote, tried and liked playing the Wii. She even played some NFS: Carbon when it came out and was pretty good at it.
I'm going to respond before actually reading the reviews so my opinion won't be tainted.
The game looks too simple to be fun for very long. And I'm not talking about the graphics, they look fine, but I didn't see a lot of meters and menus that I like about the Sims games. The kiddy image doesn't bother me unless the game doesn't have depth. If all you do is build furniture and hang out in your house twiddling your thumbs, I'll have to pass on this game.
don't wanna look childish in front of your friends?.....thats sad....i wont post my age for security reasons but im in aged, and i still watch cartoons, still play Pokemon....you know why....because i do what I enjoy....not what everyone else does.....if looks good, play it......you would do that if it where LOZ or FF.......but since it looks kiddie, you don't want to be an outcast......sad......

Wow; some real latent hostility. I think it is you who is embarassed about looking childish. I, on the other hand, don't care about image; I'm talking about game quality, meaning that, while some older people might enjoy Spongebob and the Flying Dutchman's Treasure, I think the game is designed for a certain skill level. I just don't want to get bored with a simplified kids game.
Im definitely interested in My Sims, especially if its anything like Animal Crossing (which is one of my favs), and I'm 19. But after Gametrailers' review (6.8/10), the game mightnt be as good as once thought :?
I'm wondering what the criteria for those low ratings are. Ratings don't mean much if there isn't some context to why it scored low. Does anyone know what the main complaints about it are?
Well, I like it, because I thought it'd be fun like Animal Crossing, and had kind of just some sort of feel to it (I was thinking an Anime feel, but it's definately not Anime, it just....IDK I'm crazy -_-).
