It's perfectly normal, but if you feel paraniod that it might overheat you could always spend $10 on fan. http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802630
there's a simpler solution than buying fans... you turn off Wiiconnect24 so the system isn't always connected to the internet.
It's normal for the Wii to get hot in standby. Make sure you have room for air to circulate around the Wii, especially make sure if you put it wide side down that you put it on a hard surface. The little feet can sink into carpet and you won't have any air circulation on the bottom.
[QUOTE="lenny706"]I noticed that my Wii is warm all the time even in stand-by. Is this normal?smithy92
Take advantage of it somehow like put it under your pillow or something xD.
Ha, that reminds me. I had a class in the computer lap last semester, and during the winter when it was cold in the mornings, I would put my hands over the computers exhaust fans to warms them up
Its definately not safe, mine melted away and all of it is now in a jarbig_mak123
Other reported having image problems. The network card can melt the graphic card, the fan doesn't work on stand by. Search around the net to read about it. Also, you don't need to unplug your Wii, just hold the on button to turn it off. The light will become red.
