It's the holiday season so we thought it was best to spend it with our own families.
Actually that's not too far off lol
It's broken for it's second time, the thing that irks me most is that it was just in the shop at the beginning of September so less then three months and it's back in.
Nothing too serious, the first time it was a disk read error and this time the bearing in the fan went, the thing was MUCHO loud. It went from mildy annoying to "I have the happiest cat in the back of my Wii with a megaphone".
Just like last time I wanted to point out a few things to let people know how the system works as of right now.
1. Virtual Console games are no big deal if they need to be replaced. Especially if you have a MyNintendo account (if not please go to Nintendo and do it straight away, please click HERE)
2. Everybody Votes content is also recorded. This, as many users know, was the biggest problem last time. My Everybody Votes channel was messed up when I got it back and since it's one of my favorite things to do on the Wii I was ticked. Thankfully the update recently to the channel fixed my last problem and hopefully now that it's recorded there wont be another.
3. Check Mii Out Channel content is recorded. This way if you won or placed in certain contests the information will be kept.
4. Mii's like usual will be kept also.
5. The rest of the channels, weather, news, internet, are also recorded.
Now of course if they need to revamp the entire system you lose everything on the console (unless you backed it up on an SD card) but that's to be expected.
Now for the rest of my story lol
So I told them it was the second time in 3 months and he told me they wanted to see it in Washington. I asked what the difference was from New York, where I sent it last time, and he said the New York location is for repair and distribution only. Washington is where Nintendo actually is so they wanted to pull my Wii apart and see what happened and use the data. I said sure thing if you pay and then send it back overnight, I only want it away for a week max.
He agreed and then I brought up compensation because it's nuts that I had to send it back twice in less then three months. He offered me the choice of a nunchuck (I already own one), a C l a s s i c Controller (got one of those too), or a guide. Well I didn't have a guide so I said throw that puppy this way.
I'll be getting a call from Nintendo next week going over my usage of the console (all the freaking time lol) and all that and then I get it back next week.
Moral of the story, I talk too much lol
