Ok I was on my laptop and watching TV.My Wii was fine then.THEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT.I didn't notice my Wii's light went out til' a couple hours later when I tried to play it.Anyway I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it wouldn't work.HELP!!!
If its not getting any power u can try buying a new set of power cords and trying that out. You can try plugging it into a different outlet. Make sure that the power cord is connected to the box thing thats connected to the wii(although im not too sure if the wii's power cord is in to parts like other power cords) if all eles fails call nintendo
Did you have your expensive electronics plugged into a surge protector? If your Wii smoked, hopefully it's only the power supply, borrow someone's power supply so you can test it out. If your Wii is still under warranty, send it in.
A power strip with a built in circuit breaker. It's supposed to protect against power surges. Your Wii wouldn't need to be on for a power surge to hurt it.
There was a heavy thunder/lightning storm.That's wut cut the lights out.

Is that counted as an 'act of God?' The reason I ask is because many warranties don't cover that.
Call Nintendo. Don't mention the thunder storm and just say it won't turn on anymore. They'll make arrangements for you to send it in. They might get it and decide the warranty doesn't cover it, then you'll have to pay for repairs, but that would be cheaper than buying a brand new Wii.
right now my dad is using one of those volt checker things on my power cord.I need to see if it is my Wii or power cord.I'll probably end up taking it to one of my friends house who has a Wii and see if his power cord will work on mine.Also(off subject)power is so much fun to type.OOOOH....so is type.

You've got a wise dad. You ought to be able to order a replacement power supply online from Nintendo for around $20.
I wouldn't be asking this question in a forum I would have called the Nintendo Customer Service and I can guarantee you that you would have had an answer by now!
