im not sure but i think it is game relate as i have tried other games but they seem to work fine but indarksiders 2 ever since i have gotten the soul splitter move my wiiu keeps freezing when playing that game. i cant seem to progress. i tried ninja gaiden and mario 3d world and ccan play without problems and i hav tried vc and indie game and they all work without a problem. but darksiders 2 is causing this problem.

some people say it is a miiverse and internet problem but even when playing offline this happens. does any1 know how to fix this problem as i am worried this might ruin my wiiu and i really enjoy darksiders 2. also do u think its is game related or a problem with the system?

did you buy the game used or new?

maybe the disc went bad?

i have a couple bluray movies that went bad and had to throw them away.

you need to try another disc...if you still have the problem then maybe your data got currpted or something is wrong with your wiiu.

In case of data corruption, try starting a new game and see if the problem occurs in the same place. I know that's probably going to be a pain, but it's worth a shot. If you still get the problem, try another disc(if you can find one).

Almost sounds like what happened to my Wii U at launch. It could play Nintendo Land and Sonic & All Stars Racing, but if I tried playing New Super Mario Bros. the system died and made this weird ass noise. Turned out it was a system fault and I had to return it and get a new system, lucky for me it was at launch so I hadn't bought anything from the eShop.

Two things:

First, and I know this sounds weird, disable foreign languages on Miiverse. That fixed my freezing problem at launch. Also, make sure your Wii U has all the latest updates.

Second, return your game for a new disc, if it's still within the return policy.

If neither of those work, start your game over.

I have Darksiders 2 and I had this problem as well. It didn't happen too often - maybe about 4 times during my play through. It hasn't happened on any other game.

So since we both share the same problem on the same game, it seems like it would be game related.

Western Digital has traditionally not been all that good with Nintendo products in my experience.
