I am just curious does anyone know when we will see Golden Eye be released for the vc. And if there have been any announcments for the n64 wrestling games to be released such as No Mercy or Wrestlemania 2000. Those were by far the best wrestling games to be made.
golden eye and perfect dark are no brainers for VC games, but doesn't RARE have rights to them, lets hope they come out soon. more importantly, where/when is paper mario!?
Yeah, rare owns golden eye and donkey kong 64 but Nintendo is working hard on getting Golden eye for VC for sure, but I'm not sure about Donkey Kong. Nintendo can do it, but it'll cost em.
The Donkey Kong IP (Intellectual Property) is totally owned by Nintendo so they completely own the distribution rights to Donkey Kong 64. It is the same for Donkey Kong Country (and DKC2 and DKC3) for SNES which was also developed by Rare and is eventually coming to the US virtual console (some other regions already have it). I bet we will see DK64 on the virtual console because it was a popular game and they can do it easily.
Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo, and the other Rare made games are another story because Nintendo does not own the IPs. It is not impossible that these games would be released but it would be a very convoluted process and they would defiantly cost much more than the standard price. Its a shame because they were also great games.
No Mercy - Who knows if anyone has the rights to make games with those wrestlers not to mention Akai, the developer, is no longer with THQ, the publisher.

Goldeneye is possible, cause Activision (I think) has the rights to James Bond right now. We will never see Perfect Dark or Banjo-kazooie though. Those properties are owned by microsoft now. If anything they'll show up on XBOX Live Arcade, not Virtual Console. The best bet Nintendo has for these games are that they'll be ported to the DS. Rare is allowed to make DS games, as they've already ported Diddy Kong Racing, and even made a Banjo-kazooie GBA game. Even a mech assault game (another microsoft owned IP) is on the DS. So thats probably the only hope.

i think they should release paper mario a month or so before the new paper mario comes out
Perfect Dark: MS giving the rights for Nintendo to sell that NOT HAPPENING Goldeneye: Maybe, Ninty would have to pay lots of money to do so but just think of the PROFIT they would make out of it.
