Naruto: EX3 and CONR3

w w w w...wh... why.... hmmpf.. what is the difference between the Japanese version GNTEX3 and the "international" version, so to speak, CONR3 ?

ofc its obvious to see that GNTEX is strictly Shippuden material, where on the other hand CONR starts from the begining of the entire manga. It's not so much why the third version in one of them are so different from hte other, both have their natural progress compared to where they started off.

where my curiousity is "miss-fed" is the extraordinary resemblence in every aspect of the games, gameplay, layout of chars, and clothing + animation. All teh characters in CONR3 are also represented in GNTEX3 and not only that, as far as I've researched its the exact same jutsu they have/useand combo-styles as well. GNTEX3 just got aprox. 2 titleshead start it seems and therefore more chars from the shippuden serie, makes sense, but why, and heres where my head aches... why havent we gotten the GNTEX versions in Europe and in the US ? we're just as far manga and cartoon-wise..... right ?

probably just missed the "it" that makes me go "aaahhhh thats why...."

The clash of ninja and ex series' are completely different. and the reason we don't have the exseries is because we unfortunately don't have shippuden out yet (besides manga.)

not out yet.. as in on dvd in stores...? on the internet u can see pretty much just as far into the shippuden as in japan...

cause both psp, cube and ps2 have had shippuden content for a loooong time...

anyways, tahts prolly jsut it.. still seems a bit itchy... over all wierd they dont just toss it to right and left, its a pretty popular software even in the west... their loss...

I'll see what I can do to help you out by mentioning the changes featured in CoNR3 that makes it different from GNT EX3:

-An overhauled battle system rebuilt with help from dedicated tournament veterans to improve game balance and make a better fighting experience.

-Fighting has lighter gravity, encouraging greater combos and a more offensive game.

-35+ characters is an all-Shippuden cast and features at least one new character that wasn't featured in EX3 (Chiyo)

-Brand-new LNP (Latent Ninja Powers) now have multiple effects for many characters and is different from EX3.

-New move animations and specials for various characters (like Kakashi); also at least one new transformation (Byakugan Hinata)

-Improved Tag-Battle mode, which allows for assist attacks, offensive tag-ins, and features new Team Specials

-Wi-Fi mode added

^And those are just the ones out of the top of my head at the moment. There are possibly a few more changes, but we'll have to wait until the game comes out before we can get a feel for exactly how changed CoNR3 really is. Personally, I'm looking forward to it a lot. :)

im just annoyed we wont get to play sai, yamato, kakuzu and hidan. and wondered why the same manufacturer makes 6 games so alike and only gives japan the furthest... but i guess it started backaround EX1, when japan rly were alot further ahead on tv.. and we just started it in the west.. only natural to make em as it seems logical.. the show has jsut catched up and gone alot further then the games now in the west... heh, that was what i loved about Tenkaichi! char spam ftw.

First of all, we don't know this game's complete roster yet. Yeah, the game's story only goes as far to the Rescue Gaara ark, but it's been said that the game's character roster might not be limited to that ark. In the case of Team Asuma and Kurenai being in this game, that's already true, in fact. You would think with a 35 character roster, there might be a few surprises, though. Even though the North American dub has just started, I'm sure a lot of Naruto fans are caught with the Anime because of various sites, like Naruto.com, showing the Japanese version. I think that gives Tomy a little more freedom with the game's cast, as well, seeing as how a lot of people should know some of the characters. However, this is the first North American Clash of Ninja game with the Shippuden cast, so you can't expect TOO much, either.

All I can say is just wait and see. Heck, that's all anyone can do at this point. :P
