National Dex and just got back into Pokemon...

Am I right to say if I wanted to have an absolutely complete 100% national dex I needed to have gotten every single pokemon from heartgold/soul silver, diamond/pearl, and black/white and put it in poke bank and then I could have a complete dex in x and y?

Seems extreme. Anyone do it or any one care to ever complete it? I wonder if Nintendo will make it so ppl with the 3ds games can complete the dex without having had previous DS games. At least it'd be nice for another mew event.

Anyways I just got back into pokemon with a friend. I got Y and Omega Ruby and I'm loving it! It feels like it got easier. I also played the roms for black and heartgold, and man, Black was really tough. Is it just me, or was black tough?

im pretty sure all pokemon bar the event legendaries keldeo, genesect, mew etc, are now available within games x and y and oras. if you have y and ruby you should be good to obtain the majority of pokemon now. obviously there are still version exclusives, so you will still need to trade for pokemon from as and x and the event pokemon you missed..

I will agree black was quite difficult, the exp share available in x,y and oras has made these games a lot easier should it be turned on..

wow! i didnt know it had so many legendaries. On the 4th, i get pokemon y. im looking forward to it :)

i dont see mew on that list though

Some Pokemon can't be caught even if you own all of the games, since some were event exclusive. I think Mew fits that category - I remember picking him up from a shopping centre in the late 90s, and haven't really since him available much since then.

Anyway, you can trade for Pokemon online, so you may get lucky there?
