i tried it but it doesnt look right. But there is a special stand i saw at ebgames where you can set and make it look like a little center for all your wii stuff and it was only $20.
i keep it horizontal, I had it vertical because it looked cooler, but then the discs werent being read,then i put it horizontal and i havent had a problem since

horizontal. I don't even keep the flaps on anymore, since there's genrally a controller and mem card in the side.
Vertical...I tried to put it horizontal but after a couple of hours I touched it and it was freakin hot.

Well I bought a custom stand for it so I'm not going to screw myself by not using it. :P Besides then using GC stuff would be a hassle.
