Need a few good budget games...

Hey guys, interested in some DS games to add to my collection for my 3DS I picked up in April. I like RPGS, shooters, turn based strategies/puzzle games that aren't TOO mind blowing... money's a little tight so I would appreciate if they are under 20 bucks at gamestop or amazon..thanks in advance!

Luminous Arc ($7.99 Used at Gamestop)

Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero ($4.99 Used at Gamestop)

Picross DS and Picross 3D are the best puzzle games on the system, I'd highly recommend them.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Chrono Trigger

"NanoStray 2" is only a few bucks and it's great shmup fun.

I also echo the "ChronoTrigger" RPG recommendation - The DS redux is fantastic.

"C.O.P. - The Recruit" is a full-on 3D "Grand Theft Auto 3" clone.

"Under the Knife" will test your surgical skills. Very unique game.

"Dementium: The Ward" - Nice horror FPS adventure.

"007: GoldenEye" - Really fun & inventive Bond FPS.

"WarHammer 40K: Squad Command" - Great turn-based scifi strategy game.

Normally I would throw in The World Ends With You here, but recently the price has skyrocketed. Amazon wants at least $45 right now.

Also, is anyone else sick of looking for DS games on Amazon, and having to wade through 90 "Game only" sellers before getting to someone that will sell you the freaking BOX, too?

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 2 is probably dirt cheap now and will last you forever. I've put in a couple hundred hours on just one playthrough, and I've done several different playthroughs of the game to try out different team combos.

Golden Sun Dark Dawn is about $20 last I checked.

Age of Empires is another game that lasted me several hundred hours and was one of my favorite DS games for a long time. If you can find a copy, I can't imagine it going for more than $8 seeing as how old it is.

Chrono Trigger. Nothing else needs to be mentioned there.

Final Fantasy III (and IV, although I've never played it) are also good choices if you don't mind dated story progression (again, can't speak for IV).

Those are my suggestions. They're all pretty old games so they should be pretty cheap by now, and most of them will net you plenty of gametime too, so they'll be well worth the money.

You definitely have to get Chrono Trigger if you haven't played it. The DS version is actually better than the original, because they didn't really change anything, but they added some extra scenes, sidequests, a super boss, and some other stuff. I think it's around $20 or $30 now.

It was kind of boring compared to the first two Kingdom Hearts games. I got about a quarter of the way through and sold it. It just got a bit too repetitive for my taste.

Wow...that just happened in the last couple of weeks. Wow...wow. I almost bought less than a month ago on Amazon for $20. Wish I did. Im going to have to look into this further.

If you aren't hung up on buying DS games specifically, there's lots of great stuff cheap in the eStore. Pushmo is one of my favorite games ever and its only seven bucks. Sakura Samurai is another good one in 3D.
