I use the Armorlite case. I got it the day after I bought my DS Lite and I'm loving it. However, there is one problem I have with it.
It may just be me, but when I have it on, it looks like the top of my DS Lite is smudged. I've taken it off several times, wiped them both down, and put it back on, but the smudges appear there again. Keep in mind, there's no damage to the DS Lite or the Armorlite. It just looks sort of bad with the smudge.
I still recommend it VERY highly, ESPECIALLY if you don't carry it in a case like me. I don't feel at all nervous sticking my DS Lite in my pocket or in my backpack with this on.
Im using the Hori Protector at the momment and im really loving it. Its not clear like the armourlite and there is 5 i think different colours you can pick from.

I'm using Black Horn's Polycarbonate Case which looks something like this: http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/nds/lite_polygrip.htm
It has rubberized grips at the bottom for better handling, and it's really durable.
I can't even count the number of times I knock my backpack around with my DS in it.
And yeh, it's not just you.
I get that weird smudge thing at the top, but it doesn't annoy me as much when I start playing.

I TOO have these "smudges" on the top. Kinda looks like water marks, but obviously aren't. Humidity? In any case, I think this is much better than the NERF case (only other case you'll get a lot of recommendations for). I'm no "hip" dude, so don't have huge pockets to fit a DS with a NERF case comfortably into my pocket.
But anyway, I think you should get this. Polycarbonate might scratch, but it will protect what ever it's over. This also doesn't do much to increase the size of the system, so you can put it in a larger case for longer travels.
[QUOTE="phoonbaba098"]I recommend this if you're able to use ebay. Just do a search for rubber ds. It's got soft rubber on top and hard plastic underneath. I like it and it only cost me $10 shipping included. -Sole-
OOOO! I like that one! Is it available at retailers?
Sadly no. At least not that I know of. When I received it, it came in two pieces in an envelope. There is no brand name or packaging. Just some cheap generic (yet quality) item from Japan which people re sell for profit on ebay.[QUOTE="-Sole-"][QUOTE="phoonbaba098"]I recommend this if you're able to use ebay. It is much nicer than a rubber skin case, but still gives you a nice rubberish grip.
