It's an ok game in my opinion, and you will enjoy it. However, it won't last long. You can beat it in one day if you want to.:?Stuffed_Monkey
It takes the average person 20 hours to beat, and no one plays for all but 4 hours a day. Took me a month.
Anyways, I'd suggest N64 paper mario on VC, SPM wasn't really my bag.

When the game first came out, I read on these forums that people beat the game in about 11 hours, and they did it in one day. Don't know whether or not that's true but I suppose it's possible.
As for the N64 Paper Mario, I haven't played it but many of my friends enjoyed it.
I am wanting a new game, and it seems none of the hyped ones come out for a while.... so, is paper mario a good game to buy at $50? I am pretty good at gaming, and want something that will last and be enjoyable.llama1107
I don't agree with Stuffed_Monkey I think the length of Super Paper Mario if anything is average, it isn't a long game though. I'd say it's a 10+ hour game on average. It's an amazing game, controls are great, game-play is innovative, & the fun factor is astronomical! ((It rocks!)) I think it's the second best Wii game out right now ((right behind Twilight)) :D
Hope I helped.
Super Paper Mario is an alright game from what I've played of it. Gameplay-wise it's a bit easier to me than the prior Paper Mario titles, as it follows more of a platforming method of battle rather than the typical RPG-style turn-based battles that the previous Paper Marios used.
The original N64 title (now on the Virtual Console) is still IMO one of the hardest in the series if not the hardest. It's definitely unforgiving and took a bit more of a learning curve than 1000-year-door and SPM did. That's not to say that SPM is the easiest of the three, but it is easier to pick up and start playing.
The flip-to-3D-and-back mechanic that SPM employs may not get used a lot, but it is a neat mechanic and very useful. My only gripe is that you're only allowed to do that dimension flipping as Mario. That and as you start to get more helper Pixls in-game, it becomes annoying to have to constantly switch between them at times.
I don't know about others, but I haven't finished SPM yet anyway. But then again, I'm trying to do it and take my time, and avoid using any FAQs or walkthroughs in the process for this particular one.
