Need Help Running a Gamecube Game Off Wii

Ok I Know Basicly Nothing About Wii's Besides How to Update/Input Games and Eject Them. So I'm Trying to Replay RE3 Nemesis But I Sold my Stuff Awhile Back and Need to Know Do I Need a Gamecube Memory Card to Save Game or Will it Be Able to Save to Internal Memory of the Wii?

To play gamecube games on the Wii, all you need is a gamecube controller and a gamecube memory card to save your game progress.

Please don't capitalize every word, and yes, you will need a GC memory card as well as a GC controller.
