My wife and I are thinking of purchasing Nintendo DS's for each other. We want to know however.... Is there anyway to link one console to another to play against each other, or is the only way to play against each other to pass the DS back and forth, also, if there is a way to link up, do both players have to have the game or can the game just be shared off of one console???? If anyone knows I would love the info, THANKS!

Two DS's can play against eachother. Also, there are games where you only need one copy of to play against eachother, such as Mario Kart, where as other games you need two copies to play against eachother, as in Animal Crossing. Just check the back of the boxes in the top-right hand corner. Hope I helped. :D

Can you explain HOW the DS Lite is weaker? Like, is it the battery that is weaker or the speed or something else? Thanks again.

Rainbowmommy, I have heard that the ds lite's weakness is present in the older batches, that they would get cracks in the hinges.

Also, this info might not be important, but I heard that some pros of the normal ds is that they have better speakers, and their dpad is better.

Yeah its mainly weaker in the earlier batches, The hinge near wher the powerlight was could snap.

But only if you drop it or rough with it.

DSLite has longer battery correct me if im wrong.

DSlite has great back lighting as well as being more portable.

Also the DSlite when playing Gameboy advanced games they stick out of the bottom and you won't have this on the original DS.

Overall I like my lite more because of the lighting, portability, and style :)!
