need tremendous help about my DS

I bought my DS Lite a long time ago back in June 2006 in USA. Unfortunately, like all those past DS Lites, it got a crack in it. It was just small and i was already back in Phil at that time and won't be going to US for a long time so i can't send and replace my DS Lite to NoA like what those other cracked DS Lite owners did. Anyway, it didn't really affect me at all because it was just small.

However, it got another crack just a few weeks ago on the other side of my DS near the two LEDs. Also, it's bigger than the first crack. And so whenever i open my DS, the top screen doesn't click anymore when opened and it already feels loose. I just kept it in in my DS case for a long time (hardly played my DS) and when i opened the case, it has that big crack already. I'm gonna be going to US this Dec and i've been wondering if i could still send and replace my DS to NoA. Note that i can't find the receipt for the DS when i bought it.

nintendo warranty only covers 1 year i believe.

You didn't read into the message mister safety boy, it is a defect with all of those DS's, they form huge cracks on the seems over time. Like was said before though man, unless you got a huge store specific warrany from, say, Best Buy, you are SOL. I have an old-school junker DS and am positive that they are going to announce a new one at TGS (or ELSE!) so I would use the one you have that is falling apart until the new one comes out.

It looks like you've gotten your money's worth, and now it's time to get a new DS. I recommend a black system, because the trigger buttons don't turn "Nacho Cheese" orange like yours did.
