Never actually thought I would say it, but I'm bored.

I've spent a lot of the time on these forums telling people why they shouldn't throw away their Wiis, why they shouldn't be bored with it, just be patient, but I'm actually bored myself with it. I doubt I'll ever throw it away, but I haven't heard of any "mind blowing" Wii title yet. I mean hell, the highest rated game we have is WarioWare, and that's not that great of a game.

I'm a personal lover of graphics, and I have faith that the Wii will improve greatly. But how much will it improve? I guess I'm just losing my interest. Could someone maybe, give me a few links that may motivate me?

Rofl, online play. Mario Strikers Charged? Pokemon? I totally want to play those online.

I've been playing the Call of Duty series online for years. Unfortunately I can't keep playing FPS games because PC gaming is too expensive. When is the Wii going to come out with an online shooter? I highly doubt they will make Metroid Prime 3 online. The games that will be online are not going to be games I'm gunna be interested in. Obviously, Super Smash Bros will be an interest, but it won't be something I'm going to take seriously. I take first person shooters seriously, which is why I wanted to eventually get an Xbox for Halo 3 (I actually had an Xbox and I played Halo 2 online with it, before my Xbox randomly died on me).

I'm in your same situation... though I'm looking forward "DBZ: BT2"...
Anyway get something to keep you busy until the great titles come out...
Another console, movies, start playing an instrument, get out with your friends...
Life isn't centered around a console you know !!! :)

My entertainment is centered around games. I want an Xbox 360 to keep me busy, but I can't seem to get a job and they cost a lot more. Someone briefly suggested to me the other day that I could sell my Wii since it's in such high demand and get an Xbox that way. I didn't take them seriously at the time but it's coming into focus...

I'd rather not get rid of it, but I need some assurance as to WHY I'm going to keep my Wii. I think I'm getting ready to take back SSX Blur I just bought today, because the controls are absolutely terrible for the game. Very, very pissed off.

I just don't know though. Did Nintendo really know what they were doing when they created this controller? I'm starting to have my doubts. I have always respected Nintendo and I always will, but I'm seriously starting to have my doubts about this console. Please don't flame, I mean no offense...I'm just not seeing any "terrific" games that I prefer. You know, like, first person shooters for example. Where. Call of Duty 3? FarCry? Vanguard? They all suck. I've beaten Super Paper Mario, Excite Truck, Legend of Zelda, WarioWare, and I'm not feeling like playing them again too soon. Games that really get me addicted are games I can play online against people like Call of Duty 2. In deathmatches, where I can have an intense PvP match with people.

I didn't technically buy it, it was a gift, but I did want the Xbox 360 at the time. It's just frustrating. I don't see any good games out right now, and I don't see any future games that I would be highly interested in. Metroid Prime 3? Cool. Will it be online? No.

yea, i would only THINK about buying metroid if it had online... all of the games coming out are rather ports, ok games but have graphics that i can't stand (spiderman3), little minigames, or i'm just not intrested in them.... there will not be games like GEOW, Assassins Creed, Halo 3, GRAW... the wii was fun.... untill i beat zelda

Well I beat Zelda, then never really played the Wii at all after that except sometimes Wii Sports and Mario Kart 64 when friends are over. Not all the time though lol. I knew what I was expecting, since all I bought the Wii for was Zelda, Smash Bros and Metroid. I guess Mario too. I pretty much solely bought it for Brawl. I knew I'd never really play it that much. Well I rented Super Paper Mario now and I think it's great, it may even be my 2nd purchase! lol

I'm done with Zelda. I traded it in a while ago and got GOW2. The only games I have not including Wii Sports of course is Warioware:SM, Super Paper Mario and a couple of VC games. I hardly have any time to play my Wii though. I've been spending more time with my DS.

I have been bored with my wii for a while. Tankfully I have a 360 and geow. But meh I'm still excited for a few upcomnig games for the wii. Most of the online ones interest me considering I have plenty of FPs's on my 360. However when I buy a game, even an fps I expect a good single-player and that is what I buy the game for. Online is a bonus. That being said I can't wait for a few upcoming wii titles including project h.a.m.m.e.r. I believe is soon?

You know I tried to tell people that the Wii was going to have issues but everyone flaked out on me lol. I think mario paper is a good fun game and worth the price. I dont think there's going to be any really super exciting games to wait for coming out, bad remote mechanics basically screw us and graphics are bad. The thing that bothers me most is developers using the motion sensing too much. To me there are a good number of games that could have been better if they would have just used motion sensing selectively and not went wild with it, I see guitar heroes coming and just want to grab the programmers and tell them DONT use motion sensing and make the game crap.

I totally think that the graphics will get better in due time. Just be patient. Don't feel bad about the fact that you are getting bored with the Wii now because there is every reason to. There aren't any awesome games coming out until the fall. It's that time of year (spring, summer) when there is just a major drought of new releases.

Don't throw the Wii away though. It has great potential and I'm sure once the fall comes some great games will be hot on the shelves.

I agreee, my Wii hasn't even been turned on in MONTHS.  I've got quite a few games, but the last game for the Wii I really wanted was Sonic and The Secret Rings, and that wasn't as mind blowing as I thought it'd be.

I bought a 360 to keep me going until games like Brawl and Galaxy are released (Metroid is far too boring; I had to force myself to play Metroid Prime 2 and then gave up).  Nintendo NEED to start getting titles out more quickly, and we need some AAA titles.  Zelda was good, but not as good as Wind Waker.  Sonic and the Secret Rings was good as well, Red Steel was cool, but Call of Duty 3 was practically unplayable at times.

They also need to get a decent online going, and FAST.  Having to send friend codes out to everyone is not cool, and is just more of a pain in the ass.  If Metroid is online, I may well pick it up as I love online FPS', the same applies to Brawl (although I'd be picking it up anyway, online would be one hell of a bonus).

The PS3 and the 360 has solid games like Metal Gears Solid 4, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Final Fantasy 13 and more coming out.  However, the most exciting thing Wii owners are getting aren't Nintendo's titles IMO, but games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.  I genuinly can't see games like Project H.A.M.M.E.R or Day of Crisis being AAA titles, and, while I truly hate to admit it and will go place my finger tips in bleach after this, I don't think NiGHTS will be either (Sega's games haven't been too great lately)

But hey, I may be made to eat my words.  Some of the new games that are coming out may be better than GeOW.  In fact I truly hope that I WILL be made to eat my words, as I love Nintendo and don't to see the Wii turned into a family console only, and in all honesty yes, the Wii does have some hardcore games coming out like Dragon Quest, but these games are going to take their time, so it may be too little, too late.

Gameplay wise, the only, and I mean ONLY next gen game that actually looks mind blowing to me.  Is Little Big Planet.

Sure I'll get Crysis and Spore, and Mature titles like Kane and Lynch and Bioshock.  But Little Big Planet looks more innovative than the Wii's entire Lineup.

Thanks for your input guys, but I may end up selling my Wii anyway. Sure, it's more stable than the Xbox 360, but I can't help that I absolutely love the Xbox 360's titles more than the Wii.

I'm gonna go pick up a bunch of second hand xbox games (extrememly cheap now) and a couple things for PS2 (some of which are also on Wii or coming out soon, but the Wii versions charge an extra £10 just for tacked on gesture controls :| ).

Strikers is out here in a week though and that will have me addicted for a long while.

all i can say to all your people who are bored of your wii's is "hold Out" by the end of the year the wii will have some excellent titles. DS was the same not much worth buying in the first year or so and look at it now.i suggest playing some GC titles you might of missed to fill the gap.

For anyone here or anywhere to take N's 'statements' literally that the controls on the wii woudl be REVOLUTIONARY are just fooling themselves.

How can you take the controls that were in Zelda, Wario, WiiSPorts, etc...and make them anymore revoltionary than they are? Its just implementing the wii remote to use gestures and slight movements to play a game. Not what anyone will call revolutionary. I dont see how there can be any way to really make the controls 'Revolutionary' in the way we all interpreted it to be, some mind-blowing experience that woudl make us catch our breath and all..

its different, yes, but not some out-of-this world experience that warranrts these high expectations.

I love my wii and will never sell it. But I didnt twist the words of N to make me think I was going to be buying some super high tech piece of equipment that would make me just sit in awe as I hacked and slashed and jumped my way to glory.

I know how your feeling. Metroid Prime 3, Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Galaxy, Dewey's Adventure, NiGHTS, and a host of other great games aren't coming out until the holidays, and as to why Nintendo decided to release all those games at about the same time is beyond me. Spreading them out is the best way to avoid droughts...

It is getting pretty boring without all the games we want.

But I'm waiting for Dragon Quest Swords, NiGHTS and waiting for the news on SSBB in 6 days...Till then I'll be playing Wii games here and there and my PS3.

Didn't I tell you guys already? It's the actual games I'm looking at. The games. To be honest I'm not that interested in Super Smash Bros (or Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime 3 doesn't look anything special to me). It's just not my type of a game. My gaming revolves around good, online RPGs and shooters. If the Wii isn't going to provide that then I have a problem.

Yeah that guy is right, if you were happy with your xbox360, why'd you buy a wii?

And the best system for RPGs is and continues to be the PS2, so yeah. Take a gander at where the good ones are going.

You're one of those forum people who irritate me so badly, who A) are terribly impatient B) love to complain for the sake of complaint and C) expect entirely too much of video games in general.

So cya.

Edit: Dude, online RPGs? I think I can count the number of online console RPGs on my hands, so just stick to your PC. Seriously.

Numbers are all that matters in the console war, I mean I played the GC alot more than my PS2 so does that mean that GC won. Also if so many people didnt have to rebuy broken PS2's would it have sold so many consoles, none of that matters, the only thing that decides the winner is who has sold the most consoles.Anyway people who wish that the Wii had gone with the graphics powerhouse, you dont understand how bad of a move that would have been for us. Remember GC was a distant third so devs had all but abandoned Nintendo, as have many fans because of this. If nintendo had come out with an expensive HD system instead of what the Wii is, it would not be continually flying off the shelves. It would still be in a distant third, which means little to no support form third parties.

The reason that we havent gotten full efforts of games is because you cant slap together a game on the level of say Assasins Creed in a matter of months. It takes at least a year or so to develop games like that, which should take advantage of both the power of the console, and the controller capabilities. Simply put devs were not prepared to do this, they went into E3 which was just about a year ago, thinking only about the 360 and the expected market leading PS3.When they saw the buzz of the Wii and especially the way it flies off the shelves now, it was already too late for 07. So the best they can do is cash in on ports, and games that can developed in a few months. Expect much more elaborate games for 2008, I expect a strong showing at this years E3.

With Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, Elebee's(Elebits), Super Paper Mario, Wario Ware, Wii Play/Sports, and all the other Wii games i havn't bought yet, the 30 very good GCN games playable on the Wii including hard games like F-Zero GX and Ikaruga, and the 10-20 very good VC worth playing like OoT, Mario64, Starfox64, Mario World, Super Probotecter(Contra), Gunstar Heroes, Super Gouls N' Ghosts, Street Fighter II and DK Country i can't see why anyone is bored with their Wii, but i guess some people who might not have any friends need an excuse to moan on forums.

Am I supposed to cry? If you want to sell your Wii, go for it. If I have a 360 and a Wii, the 360 would go to eBay after Blue Dragon and maybe Eternal Sonata and both of these games are going to flop because whiny graphic wh*res prefer to play on lame shooters not on JRPG. But I don't have either of them and I'm still not planning to buy a 360.

Halo and Gears of War can go to hell. I played at Halo 2 with one of my friends and we had more fun on GameCube than on this game. I played 6 hours of GoW and that was like 6 hours of sleeping.

Obviously that is because of the lack of online games right now, Online is the only reason why it feels like it's getting boring, i doubt many people would still be playing halo 2 or gears of war or even starcraft, if it did not have online. Online games are coming very soon, look at mario strikers, it has a very promising online system and many more third party developers have had online dev kits for months so soon a-lot Wii games coming out in fall should have online.

i just got to laugh at the Mario strikers thing, the online won't even compare to any of those games u mentioned before. Again, for me, once Super smash comes out the online will be insane and same goes to sitting down with ur friends and playing it

I was too, had to sell my Wii to pay for new pc, the funny thing is I got all of the money back and make a extra £5.00 too. I do like the Wii, it's just that nothing is out, it's been about 6 months now and most of the games are still getting push back. I probably will get a Wii again, but it might be a American one and when they bring out more colours (really wanted a black one) and of course more games.

What a useless post, people don't have patience at all. Sell your Wii if you want, but don't come back here crying when great games will be out. You know, I'm sure they are more games coming out soon that we don't know about. Some companies are keeping things secret. Just wait.. Here's an extensive list on upcoming games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nintendo_Wii_games

Try Sonic. :) my only other game aside from Wii sports and I still play here and there and I got it months ago. It's a lot of fun trying to get Gold medals and collecting all the fire spirits.

ThaT-Masta

*yawn* Those aren't the only Wii games that are gonna have online, theres(in edition to what you said):
Madden 08
Guitar Hero 3
BWii

Brawl too.

Thanks for your input guys, but I may end up selling my Wii anyway. Sure, it's more stable than the Xbox 360, but I can't help that I absolutely love the Xbox 360's titles more than the Wii.Skullheart

Well good.  Sell it to me.

What is with all this impatience?  Every day there are about 5 threads saying how someone is bored of the Wii.  Have you ever stopped to recall that the Wii is only a half year old!?  If you expect a slew of AAA titles within the first year of a console release you need a serious reality check.  If you just hold out until the fall time you will be good to go.  2008 also looks promising for the Wii.

I feel kinda the same. My Wii broke (totally my own fault) and I can get it fixed for about 100$ but Im not sure if Im going to because I haven't really missed my Wii that much and there is absoloutly no good 3rd party games coming. So ill be getting myself either a new PC or a xbox360 after the summer.

Thats why you dont get a Wii as a stand alone. The 360 will last you along time with XBL.jfkunrendered

I 100% agree. The wii is a great console but you should da 360 as your main console and the wii for group titles or here and there titles.  The wii is basically like the cube to me only has metriod, zelda and mario games that rock.  Thats my 2 cents take it how u want it.

lol guys I'm not judging the Wii for the games out currently, I know better than to judge a system that quickly. I'm saying that I'm highly doubtful that Nintendo will satisfy my shooter needs (it's Nintendo, expect Nintendo games, right?).

What's that suppose to mean, there will be great 3rd party games too (there are decent ones right now)

I highly recommend owning at least 1 other console or a gaming pc.  You say there is nothing mindblowing for the wii but there is nothing mind blowing for the ps3 either, and the 360 has been out forever so you really can't compare it to the other two.

I didn't buy the Wii to download old games. In fact, I didn't buy the Wii at all!

Well, technically I can game on this PC, but it's old. When I bought it it was a gaming PC, but not anymore, xD.
