Never played Rayman 2, want a platformer. Worth it considering bugs and stuff?

I've never played Rayman 2. I also really want a platformer to play on the 3DS when I pick it up tomorrow. Is Rayman 3D worth it for these reasons, even if it is buggy and getting terrible reviews? Appreciate any advice!

graphics are crisp if a bit anachronistic, I have not encountered any bugs yet but I have spent much more time playing SSF4. camera is passable, and I have yet to encounter any game breaking slowdown or frame dropping. The intro video is probably the poorest example of 3d on the 3ds that i have seen, and suffers from image ghosting, but that goes away once you are really in the game.

Did you try adjusting the depth slider through the video? Is it true the announcers voice doesn't play? Thanks for your imput! I think its going to be one of the games I pick up tomorrow. Bump, anyone else got suggestions? :P

I don't know about the 3DS version but the original was a fantastic platformer, one of the best of all time IMO. I still have my N64 copy.

I have written a review on it, it isn't great but I believe it will serve your skepticism well on these issues as I cover them in the review. Also Rayman 3D is worth getting if you love platformers, love Rayman, or have money to spare, otherwise don't buy it or wait until it is cheaper. I have not played this game before so I picked up the 3DS version and I really enjoyed it. Iplayed entirely in 2D andbeat the game yesterday. The only bug I encountered was one time I fell of the side of something and the screen went white so I restarted the level. Other than that I had no problems and it was well worth the price for me because it was a new experience.

I haven't played Rayman 3DS but i'll say one thing..Rayman 2 when it came out what? 12-13 years ago was one of the best platformers i had ever played. Up there with Banjo/mario etc..seriously. But Rayman DS was terrible, 3DS version looks decent.
